CRAFTY HAUL (24)

My final haul for the newest Lawn Fawn release, for the summer of 2018. This is the order from the US, that I got for my gift cards, that I received for being a Lawn Fawnatics Design Team member. And I can't wait to get started!!!

The Village Shops stamp set is just something I love. Perfect for creating scenes or to add to your scenes. And my favorite type of card is a scene card. So I will definitely enjoy this set. And I think I'll have to get the Happy Village set as well, from the Spring 2018 release. They combine so well!

Critter Concert is just too adorable. I love all these cute images and my favorite is probably the owl with the violin. I already have so many ideas for this stamp set. The cards I will make with these images, will be perfect for those musicians or music lovers.

I knew I needed the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames. They are so versatile. And adding a frame to a card can add just that little extra to it. And I didn't own any frame sets, so this is a cool die set to start with.

Mini sets are a great prize point and all their minis are super cute. Like the One in a Chameleon set. I can't wait creating this chameleon on a card, in so many different colors. Even Rainbow!!!

And the Sweet Flavor set is also really cute. I'm already seeing a card with a stamped babckground, using this ice cream stamp. And it would look so cute with a smiley face in it.

I really enjoy creating underwater scenes and I already have a bunch of ocean themed or underwater critter stamp sets. So this one had to be added to my collection. You are Sublime has so many awesome images. I just love that submarine, lobster and eal. But that fish with the lantern is my favorite!

With ocean scene stamps, an ocean themed die set needs to be added as well. I've been wanting a die set like the Stitched Wave Borders and I'm so happy that Lawn Fawn brought us this. It has three different styles of waves, that I can't wait to use on my cards.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BRAVE ONE! (3)

For this birthday card, I used the Me and My Dragon stamps and the Dragon Wishes stamps, both from Mama Elephant.

I started on die cutting all the elements for the background scene. I used the Kingdom Trio dies. I used Distress Inks to blend each element. For the sky I used Scattered Straw, for the mountains Shaded Lilac, for the kingdom Wild Honey and for the grass Crushed Olive.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Dragons: Y21 - YR21 - YR23/ YG61 - YG63 - YG67
Skin boy + girl: E000 - E11
Hair boy + girl: C0 - C2 - C3/ E57 - E29

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment in Noble Fir Ink and added the panel onto a Noble Fir cardbase.

I can't wait for "Game of Thrones" to get back, but for now I have these stamps :D .

YOU FLAMIN-GO GIRL (2)

I created this summer beach scene with the Flamingo Together stamp set and Palm Trees die set, both from Lawn Fawn.

I started on all the elements for the scene. I die cut two hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders. One is going to be the beach and one the ocean. I also die cut the two palm trees and the coconuts. I wanted to watercolor all the scene elements, so I used Distress Inks. Here are the colors I used:
Sky: Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed
Palm Trees: Walnut Stain, Crushed Olive
Ocean: Mermaid Lagoon
Beach: Brushed Corduroy

I stamped the flamingo and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Flamingo: RV10 - R83/ W5 - W7

I assembled the card and stamped the sentiment. I adhered the panel onto a piece of Beachside paper and added the panel onto a Mermaid cardbase.

It's been a while since I used the flamingo images.

FRIEND. SMILE. HUGS. (1)

I created this simple layout with the Lunar Animals stamp set from Mama Elephant and the Words For Friends die set from My Favorite Things.

I started by die cutting the words out of the front panel. I used all three words from the set. For the background I wanted to watercolor with Distress Inks. I wetted the paper and added three colors to it: Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry. I set this piece aside to dry.

I stamped four of the animals from the stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Monkey: E57 - E29/ E53 - E55/ R10 - R83
Sheep: E53 - E55/ W0 - W2
Bunny: W0 - W2/ RV10 - R83
Pig: RV10 - R83/ W3

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase.

Super simple, but completely different from my other cards.

HAVE A WILD BIRTHDAY (3)

For this simple birthday card, I used the Wild For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

For the background I wanted to use a stencil. I took the Halftone Stencil from Altenew, this is the first time I will be using it. I used Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. I first ink blended without the stencil and then added the stencil and applied the same color on top of that.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. I used all images, so it was pretty time consuming. Here are the colors I used:
Elephants: W3 - W5 - W7
Giraffe: Y21 - YR21 - YR23/ E29 - E57/ E11 - E21
Lion: E53 - E55/ E57 - E29
Crocodile: YG61 - YG63 - YG67
Mouse: E41 - E43
Party hats: Y08 - Y15/ R14 - R46/ B12 - B14/ YG06 - G07

I fussy cut the images. I also die cut a piece of Sticky Note cardstock with the Stitched Scalloped Borders dies. This will be the ground the animals sit on.

I assembled the card and stamped the sentiment. I wanted the mouse to be the birthday boy/ girl, so the focus is on the mouse. I added the panel onto a Vanilla Malt cardbase.

It's always fun to use a stamp set that you've had for a while and you still have ideas for them. That means they are worth their money!

WE CAN WEATHER ANY STORM (1)

I created this encouragement card with the Rain or Shine stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I wanted to create a simple background, using only one Distress Ink color. I used Blueprint Sketch. I started from the top, letting it fade into white. I did the same at the bottom. I then splattered some of the ink with a paint brush onto the background. I set the panel aside to dry.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Hair: Y21 - YR21 - YR23
Skin: E000 - E21
Coat: RV10 - R83
Pants: B91 - B93
Boots: Y08 - Y15
Umbrella: BG15 - BG18/ C3 - C5
Ducklings: YR000 - YR61/ YR02
Clouds: C0 - C3 - 0
Piddle: B00 - 0

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment and added highlights here and there with a white gelly roll pen. I adhered the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase.

This is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets of this year already.

WISHING YOU A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY (1)

I used the I Scream, You Scream die set from Lawn Fawn to create this fun birthday card.

I started on the background. I used Distress Inks as watercolors. I started with Squeezed Lemonade. I used a wide brush and added some random strokes onto the panel (that was die cut with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables). Then I took a smaller brush and added Fossilized Amber onto the panel. I set the panel aside to dry.

I die cut all the elements for the two ice creams. I used Watercolor Wishes for the popsicle and the scoop of ice cream. The rest was die cut with Lawn Fawn cardstock: Paper Bag, Chocolate Bar and Black Licorice.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice Ink, using white embossing powder from Ranger. I used the Reveals Wheel Sentiments for this.

I assembled the card and added the panel onto a piece of Gotta Have Gingham, that I die cut with the Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. I adhered the panel onto a piece of Sunflower cardstock. As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the colors Dandelion Yellow and Buttermilk.

If this doesn't give you a birthday feeling!

I also die cut the circle from piece of white cardstock. This is my panel. The circle I will add inside and I will pop it up with foam tape.

I just love this sentiment, it's SO me!
