MERRY CHRISTMAS (13)

For this simple Christmas card, I used the Gift of Love stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I started to prep my cardbase, from Narwhal cardstock. I wanted to create my own background, directly onto the cardbase. I used Hippo Ink and stamped the tree image onto the background untill it was filled.

I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto the cardbase, using Ruby Romance embossing powder from Wow.

I stamped the sentiments and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Cat: E31 - E33 - E35/ E000 - E11
Scarf: R29 - R59
Candy cane+ presents: R29 - R59/ G40 - G43/ C0 - C3 - 0

I fuccy cut the images and adhered them to the cardbase.

As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops, in three different colors: Autumn Red, Apple Green and Gloss White.

I don't do this very often, work directly on the cardbase. The result is good, so I might do it again!

OH DEER! CHRISTMAS IS HERE (2)

For this Christmas card, I used the Dashing Deer stamp set from My Favorite Things. I also used some Lawn Fawn products for this card as well.

I trimmed a piece of Ballet Slippers cardstock. This time I wanted to create a square shaped card for a change. I wanted to create a gingham pattern, so I used the Gingham Backdrop stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I used Cranberyy Ink and I think it looks stunning on this soft pink color.

I die cut the panel and used the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables to create circle frame in the middle of the card. I wanted to put a darker piece of cardstock behind this frame. I used Aged Mahogany Distress Ink for this. I also added some splatter to this bakcground, using the Re Gold paint from the Starry Color set.

I stamped the two deer images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Deer: E15 - E18/ E000 - E11
Scarfs + hat: RV 10 - R83

I also stamped a banner from Bannertastic and filled it it with Ballets Slippers Ink and Cranberry Ink. I fussy cut all the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Kraft cardbase and added some dots and highlights to the deer, with a white gelly roll pen.

I love this sentiment, so cute with those deer images.

MERRY CHRISTMAS (12)

Time for some die cutting! I created an all (but a piece of the sentiment) die cut Christmas card, with non-traditional colors. I used the Stitched Ornaments die set from Lawn Fawn.

For the background I wanted to used purples. I'm not a big fan of the color purple, but I wanted to try it for this card. I used two Distress Ink colors for blending: Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac. I had to put a lot of work into this, because they weren't that easy to blend, even though they are in the same color family.

I sprayed the background with water, using my mini mister, and dabbed off all the water. I also used White Gold paint, from the Starry Color set, and splattered this onto the background as well for some shine.

I die cut the smallest ornaments from Sticky Note cardstock and Ink blended it with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. For the larger ornament I used Ballet Slippers cardstock and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink for blending. I also die cut the strings from Narwhal cardstock and the decorations for the ornaments from Sparkle cardstock in the color silver.

The Merry Script die, from Mama Elephant, I die cut from Sparkle cardstock in the color gold. I layered it onto three die cuts from white cardstock to give it dimension.

The second part of the sentiment, the only part that was stamped on this card, I used the Happy Happy Happy Add-On stamp set and I stamped it onto a strip of white cardstock.

I adhered the panel onto a Sticky Note carbase and rounded off the bottom right corner.

I really enjoy die cutting on cards!

CHRISTMAS TAGS (5)

I made some really simple Christmas gift tags, using the Tiny Tags from Lawn Fawn and the Little Santa Agenda stamp set from Mama Elephant.

I die cut the four shapes from white cardstock and also from Sparkle cardstock, in the color gold. I stamped a santa image on each of the tags. They have the perfect size for these tags. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Santa's clothes: R29 - R59/ W5 - W7
Skin: E000 - E11 Beard: W0 - W3 - 0
Lights: YR21
Presents: RV10 - R83/ B00 - B12/ YR21 - Y38
Sock + bear: B00 - B12/ RV10 - R83/ E55
List: W0 - W3 - W5

I adhered the tag with the santa image on it, to the sparkle cardstock, setting it a little bit off to the side, so the gold cardstock peaks from the side. I used some white and gold twine to hang the tags on. I also added some white highlights to the jats, with a gelly roll pen.

Quick and easy tags. Anyone can make them!

I stamped the images from all the different sets and colored them in with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:

SENDING JOY FOR THE HOLIDAYS (5)

It's fun to use your new or newer stamp sets, but when you use a set from a year or a few years ago, it feels like a new stamp set too. Because you haven't used it in a while. So I decided to use the Snow Much Fun stamp set from Avery Elle, for this Christmas card.

The background scene is pretty simple. I ink blended the sky with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. I also trimmed a piece of white cardstock to a rectangle and used the Stitched Borders to add a cool edge.

I stamped the images and used my Copic Markers to color them. Here are the colors I used:
Moose: E31 - E33/ E000 - E11/ YR21 - Y38/ B39 - B37/ YG41 - G02
Hedgehog: E000 - E11/ E15 - E18/ R17/ YG41 - B37/ YG41 - G02

Raccoon: W0 - W2 - W3 - W5 - W7/ YR21 - Y38/ B37 - B39/ YG41 - G02

I assembled the card and used a sentiment from Merry Messages, which I stamped in Carrot Ink.

I added some highlights and dot to some images, using a white gelly roll pen.

I haven't used this stamp set in a while, so it's super fun to revisit it!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS (11)

I used the Woodland Critter Huggers die set + the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On die set, for this Christmas card.

I decided to create the deer this time. For the deer I used the following Lawn Fawn cardstocks:
Kraft cardstock, Ground Coffie cardstock, Vanilla Malt cardstock, Black Licorice cardstock, Ballet Slippers cardstock, Chili Pepper cardstock.

For the scarf I used a piece of Knit Picky pattern paper. I also die cut the Holly, using Noble Fir cardstock and Chili Pepper cardstock. For the three presents I used Sunflower cardstock, Ballet Slippers cardstock and Peacock cardstock. I'm really loving this combo for Christmas at the moment, yellow-teal-pink.

I assembled the deer and added the add-on elements to the critter. I adhered the deer to a piece of Knit Picky pattern paper, that I die cut with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die. I layered this onto a piece of Let's Polka in the Dark paper, which I die cut with the Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. The entire panel was adhered to a Sunflower cardbase.

As a finishing touch, I added some dots and highlights with my white gelly roll pen. I also stamped the sentiment, which is from the Holiday Helpers stamp set.

I just can't get enough of these Woodland Critter Huggers dies and the add-ons!!!
