MONTHLY 9 - JANUARY 2024

Bye, bye january, hello February. Lots of porcupine and waffles this month. Here are my 9 favorite cards for January 2024.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE (AND THIS AWESOME CARD) (1)

For this Valentine's Day card, I combined three Lawn Fawn stamp sets together: Porcu-Pine For You (and its add-on set) with Special Delivery. 



For the background, I used Peacock cardstock. With the Birch Tree Stencils and Yeti Ink, I ink blended the trees to the background. When the ink dried, I added splatter with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink, to make them look more like actual birch trees. 

I used three scene setting die sets to create hills and grass: Grass Border, Simple Grassy Hilssides and Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I used Paperbag cardstock for the hill and Cilantro cardstock for the grass. The grass was also ink blended with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink. 



I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers:
Porcupine: E29 - E57/ E00 - E11/ E04
Mushrooms: E41 - E43 - E44/ R35 - R37 - R39/ R01 - R22
Letter: R35 - R37 - R39/ R01 - R22/ Y21 - Y26
Hat: C0 - C3 - C5/ R35 - R37 - R39/ R01 - R22/ Y21 - Y26
Bag: YG00 - YG03 - YG13/ C0 - C3 - C5
Hearts: R35 - R37 - R39
Butterflies: YG00 - YG03 - YG13
Tree trunk: E31 - E33 - E35
 


I die cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment.

HAVE A PAWSOME BIRTHDAY (1)

For this pawsome birthday card, I used the Pawsome Birthday stamp set, Yappy Birthday stamp set and its add-on set. All from Lawn Fawn. 



For the background I used Moonstone cardstock. I took the Confetti Stencils and ink blended with Forget-Me-Not Ink and Deep Sea Ink. 

I added a strip of Gotta Have Gingham paper to the bottom.



I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used;
Dogs: E31 - E33 - E35/ E57 - E29/ W3 - W5 - W7
Present: R05 - R27/ B41 - B45/ B37 - B39
Balloons: Y15 - Y17/ B41 - B45/ V06 - V09
Banners: Y15 - Y17/ R05 - R27/ B37 - B39
Cupcake: E31 - E33 - E35/ E41 - E43/ B41 - B45
Hats: R05 - R27/ Y15 - Y17/ C06 - V09/ B37 - B39/ B41 - B45
Bow: R05 - R27



I die cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock, using Forget-Me-Not ink and Deep Sea Ink, giving it an ombre look.

YOU'RE AWESOME, WOOHOO! (1)

It's time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge . This theme is all about love, hears and Valentine's"Lots of Hearts". I decided to use the new Porcu-Pine For You stamp set and its add-on set. 



For the background, I sued a piece of Vanilla Malt cardstock. I used the Falling Hearts stencils to blend a pattern. For the blending I sued Wild Rose and Ballet Slippers Lawn Fawn inks. 



I die cut the Peek-a-Boo Backdrop from Guava cardstock. I also die cut one of the peek-a-boo flaps from this cardstock. I will add this to the last frame on the card. I heat embossed a sentiment from Love Poems onto this flap. 



I stamped the images and colored everyhting with Copic Markers;
Porcupine: E57 - E79/ E00 - E11 - E04/ W7
Mushrooms: RV32 - RV34/ E41 - E43
Flowers: RV32 - RV34/ R35 - R39/ Y15 - Y17/ YG00 - YG03
Hearts: RV32 - RV34/ R35 - R39
Tree trunks: E53 - E55 - E57
Butterflies: Y15 - Y17: R35 - R39
Snail: Y15 - Y17/ YG00 - YG03



I die cut the images and assembled the card. I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the images.

LOVE YOU LOTS (1)

It's the Lots of Heart Week at Lawn Fawn . I created this mushroom card with the Happy Mushrooms die set and the Radiant heart Backdrop die. 



I die cut the Radiant Heart Backdrop from Stripes 'n Sprinkles pattern paper. I layered it ontop of  a piece of Guava cardstock. 



I die cut the mushrooms and hearts and colored all the elements with Copic Markers:
Mushrooms: E32 - E35 - E37 - E39/ E41 - E43 - E44
Hearts: E32 - E35 - E37 - E39



I stamped little smiley faces on the mushrooms and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment in Wild Rose Ink, onto a strip of Vanilla Malt cardstock. I used a white gel pen to add some highlights.

THANKS FOR LOVING ME (EVEN WHEN I'M PRICKLY) (1)

For this love-themed card, I used the Porcu-Pine For You stamp set and its add-on set, both from Lawn Fawn. 



For the background, I used Ballet Slippers cardstock. I ink blended hearts, using the Lots of Hearts Background and two Lawn Fawn inks: Cranberry and Wild Rose. 

I added a strip of Fruit Salad pattern paper to the bottom.



I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used:
Porcupines: E75 - E79/ E11 - E04/ R32
Mushrooms: E41 - E43 - E44/ R81 - R83 - R85/ R46 - R59
Card: R81 - R83 - R85/ R46 - R59
Flowers + snail: R81 - R83 - R85/ G82 - G85
Tree trunk: E53 - E55 - E57

I die cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped one part of the sentiment onto a strip of Kraft cardstock and the rest onto the background. With a white gel pen I added highlights to the images.

I LIKE YOU A WAFFLE LOT (1)

Today I'm on the Lawn Fawn blog. I made this card with the A Waffle Lot stamp set from Lawn Fawn. And I can tell you it will probably be a favorite of the year already. I combined it with the Let's Toast stamp set. 


For the background I used the Fruit Salad paper, with the berries pattern. I added a strip of Blue Jay cardstock to the bottom. 


I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used:
Toaster: C0 - C3/ C5 - C7/ B24 - B26
Waffles: E55 - E57/ E53 - E55
Butter: YR30 - YR31
Berries: B26 - B29
Crumbs: E55 - E57
Cuttlery: C0 - C3


I die cut the images and stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Vanilla Malt cardstock, using Forget me Not Ink. I added highlights with a white gel pen.

I'M SORRY YOU'RE FEELING SO WAFFLE (1)

I made a get well card with the new A Waffle Lot stamp set from Lawn Fawn. 



For the background I used one of the gingham patterns from the Fruit Salad paperpad. I embossed one of the hearts from the Just Stitching Hearts die set. 



I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Waffles: E53 - E55 - E57
Syrup: Y15 - Y38 - YR16
Butter: Y21 - Y26
Berries: R05 - R27
Strawberries: R05 - R27/ G43 - G46
Fork: C0 - C3



I die cut the images. I stamped the sentiment onto two strips of Sticky Note cardstock, using Carrot Ink. I added highlights with a white gel pen. 

Simple design, but I love this.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW HOME (1)

I'm on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog today with this new home card, to celebrate the new homeowner(s). I used the Happy Village stamp set, which is still one of my favs. 



For the sky, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. I added a piece of Flower Market pattern paper to the bottom. 

I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. I also used images from All the Clouds and Bicycle Built For You. Here are the colors I used:
House: G00 - G02/ Y15 - Y17/ B24 - B26/ C0 -C3
Trees: G00 - G02/ E11 - E04
Balloons: G00 - G02/ Y15 - Y17/ B24 - B26
Fence: E11 - E04
Car: G00 - G02/ Y15 - Y17/ C0 - C3/ C5 - C7
Clouds: C0 - C3
Sun: Y15 - Y17/ YR30 - YR31



I fussy cut and die cut the images and assembled the card. I used Henry's ABCs to die cut the word home from Sticky Note cardstock. I ink blended the bottom of each letter with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. The rest of the sentiment I stamped in Mermaid Ink. 



I assembled the card and used my white gel pen to add highlights. I decided to add a speech bubble as well.

TODAY IS YOUR DAY... CONGRATS! (1)

For the new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge , Let's Celebrate, I decided to create an anniversary/ wedding card. I used the Simply Celebrate Critters stamp set and Christmas Before 'n Afters stamp set. 



I used pattern papers to set the scene: Stripes 'n Sprinkles and Perfectly Plaid Rainbow. I die cut the plaid paper with the Stitched Scalloped Borders, to make it look like a table cloth. I also used Fog carsdstock at the bottom.

This same Fog cardstock was used to die cut the Little Heart String Border. The hearts were die cut from Silver Sparkle cardstock. 



I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used;
Mice: E41 - E43 - E44/ W0 - W3/ E57 - E29/ W3 - W5 - W7/ E53 - E55 - E57/ E00 - E02

I die cut the images and assembled the card. I used a white gel pen to add some dots to some of the mice. I stamped the sentiment and my card is done.

YOU ARE SUCH A DEER (2)

I created a really simple card, using the Simply Celebrate Winter Critters stamp set. I also used Simply Celebrate Pets and Simply Celebrate More Critters Add-On. 



For the background and bottom I used papers from the Into the Woods Remix paper pad. 

I stamped the images and colored the deer with Copic Markers:
Deer: E57 - E29/ E00 - E11/ E41 - E43/ E71 - E74 - E79



I die cut the images and assembled the card. I decided to add some die cut hearts (from Radiant Heart Backdrop), which were die cut from Paperbag cardstock. 

I used my white gel pen to add some highlights.

YOU'RE SO POR-CUTE-PINE (3)

I created this cute porcupine card, using the Porcu-Pine For You Add-On stamp set and Radiant Heart Backdrop die. All from Lawn Fawn.



I die cut the Radiant Heart Backdrop from What's Sewing On paper. I layered a piece of Favorite Flannel paper behind this. 

I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used;
Porcupine: E57 - E29/ E00 - E11 - E04
Mushrooms: E41 - E43/ B24 - B26/ BG000 - B00
Cactus: BG000 - B00/ G43 - G46/ R01 - R22
Hearts: R01 - R22



I die cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the images with Deep Sea Ink onto a strip of Moonstone cardstock.

As a finishing touch, I sued a white gel pen to add highlights to the images.
