I AM PROUD AS A PEACOCK! LET'S PARTY! (1)

I created this graduation card with the Peacock Before ‘n After stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I also used Toadally Awesome and Open Me.

For the background I wanted to create a sunrise. I used the Rays stencil from Tim Holtz and took Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Inks.
I die cut grass, using the Grassy Border die and the Simple Grassy Hillsides die set. I did this from Cilantro cardstock and ink blended these pieces with Lucky Clover Distress Ink.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Peacock: YG41 – G02/ BG15 – BG18/ V04 – V06/ Y13/ Y15 – YR15
Frog: YG11 – YG13/ Y15 – YR15
Birds: V04 – V06/ Y15 – YR15
Log: E55 – E57
Sign: E33 – E35

I die cut or fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment inside the sign and added the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.

That peacock is one of my current favorite images to color.

SCALLOPED TREAT BOX (1)

I created my first Scalloped Treat Box, using it together with the Beach House Add-On die set. Everything I used on this Treat Box is from Lawn Fawn.

The base of the Scalloped Treat Box I die cut from the white Woodgrain Cardstock. I wanted it to look like a real wooden beach house.

All the other elements I used for the beach house, were die cut from the following Lawn Fawn cardstocks:
Peacock cardstock, Narwhal cardstock, Mermaid cardstock, Chili Pepper cardstock, Kraft cardstock, Cilantro cardstock and Sunflower cardstock.

I assembled the Treat Box and added all the Beach House elements onto it.

It’s and effort, but I just love the look of this little beach house treat box.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (41)

For this card, with only die-cuts, I used the Tiger, Oh My! Die set from Spellbinders.

I started by die cutting all the elements for my tiger and scene. For the scene I also used Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and the Simple Grassy Hillsides. I used Lawn Fawn cardstock and Distress Inks to ink blend some of the pieces. Here are the combinations I used:
Fake Tan cardstock + Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Vanilla Malt cardstock + Antique Linen Distress Ink
Peacock cardstock + Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink
Chili Pepper cardstock + Aged Mahogany Distress Ink
Cilantro cardstock + Lucky Clover Distress Ink
Sunflower cardstock + Fossilized Amber Distress Ink
Black Licorice cardstock

I added some highlights to the eyes, nose, hat and bow tie with a white gelly roll pen.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto the hill, using white embossing powder from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from the Happy Plaid stamp set by Concord & 9th.

I assembled the card and added the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.

I also want to use the tiger and the lion together someday.

For this reveal wheel card, I used the Keep on Swimming stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting and trimming off all the elements for my reveal wheel. I used Spiffy Speckles paper and Knock on Wood paper for the front panel.

I stamped the three fases of the puffer fish onto the wheel. I also stamped some additional images that go on the front of the panel. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:

CRAFTY HAUL (33)

The new Lawn Fawn release is out and I just got my order in. I also received some from Lawn Fawn, for being on their Lawn Fawnatics design team.

I got the Smooth Sailing stamp set. I especially love that lighthouse image. I can image lots of cards with this set. And I also know someone who would love cards with these images too.

The Palm Tree Borders is just perfects. I love creating scenes and this is a great scene builder for beach themed cards.

The only product I got that isn’t from the new Summer release, is the Scalloped Treat Box. I wanted to get it for a long time, so now is that time.

And I ordered it because I received the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On. I can use it without the Treat Box, but I would love to make Treat Boxes too.

Peacock Before ‘n After is such a great set. It’s a smaller set with lots of great sentiments and this beautiful peacock. I already made a Magic Picture Changer card with this set.

The Keep on Swimmin stamp set comes with a great Reveal Wheel Add-On die. With this you can change the image in the fish bowl, by turning the wheel. Super cute!

The On the Beach stamp set is probably my favorite set from this release. I love those critter laying there in the sun.

For creating these ocean themed scenes, I got the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders. To make ocean waves in three different ways.

The backdrop dies are always pretty expensive, but I just needed to have this Sunrise Backdrop die. I love it. It will make for many great sunrise scenes on cards.

Lawn Fawn also came out with a new Reveal Wheel Sentiment set. This time it’s Family and Friends. Super fun sentiments and variations again.

I also got the Reveal Wheel Arc Frame Add-On. Which will create a stitched border around the reveal wheel window. And it has some cool arrows as well.

For the Keep on Swimming Reveal Wheel Add-On, I got the templates. They are super handy and make creating a reveal wheel even easier.

Last but not least I got the Stitched Cupcake die set. I just wanted to have this. It’s super fun to create all kinds of cupcakes from cardstock.

Happy Crafting!!!

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT (2)

For the new Lawn Fawnatics challenge, that is now live, the theme is: "Spectacular Skies". I decided to combine several Lawn Fawn sets. I used Plane and Simple, Open Me, Happy Harvest and Coaster Critters.

I die cut two cloud borders, using the Puffy Cloud Borders die set. This will be my 'ground' for all the critters to stand on.

I ink blended the sky, because like the challenge says it has to be spectacular. I used Distress Oxide Inks, three colors: Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I added some water to this background and dabbed the drops off with a dry cloth.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Marker. Here are the colors I used:
Plane: R01 - R22 - R35/ C0 - C3/ W5 - W7
Sign: E35 - E33
Birds: YR21 - Y38/ R01 - R22 - R35/ Y02 - Y06 - Y15/ YR68
Balloons: R29 - R59/ Y38 - YR68/ Y11 - Y02
Bunny: E41 - E43
Smoke clouds: C0 - 0

I fussy cut or die cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment inside the sign. I added some white dots and highlights using a gelly roll pen. The panel was adhered to a Guava cardbase.

Please make sure to check out the new challenge and join us with your creations. Just check out the Lawn Fawnatics Blog for informations and inspiration! See ya there!

I used Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio. For the grass, I used the Simple Grassy Hillsides and the Grassy Border die. I took Cilantro cardstock, that I ink blended with Lucky Clover Distress Ink.

I stamped the peacock (before and after), plus some additional images from other sets that I will later cut out. I colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Peacock: B00 - B12/ BG15 - BG18/ V04 - V06/ Y38 - YR68
Cow: W5 - W7/ E41 - E43/ W0 - W3 - 0/ E00 - E11
Pig: E00 - E11/ W5 - W7

Butterflies: V04 - V06

I fussy cut all the images. I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, using white embossing powder from Law Fawn, onto the front grassy hill. I assembled the card.

For the pull tab, I used some Lawn Fawn cardstocks: Sugarplum, Peacock and Mermaid.

This is one of my absolute favorite cards. I love those colors together and that peacock is an image I will use often!
