HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY IS UNFORGETTABLE (5)

For this birthday card I decided to used Mama Elephant's The Cat's Meow a little different. With silly colors!

I stamped the big cat stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Blue cats: 031 - Cobalt Blue
Dark yellow cats: 052 - Bright Yellow
Yellow cats: 050 - Yellow
Green cats: 045 - Pale Green
Purple cats: 081 - Light Violet
Inside ears + noses: 026 - Light Pink

I fussy cut the image and went over to my background. I took another piece of watercolor cardstock and die cut a circle from it, with the Small Stitched Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. I left it in, to give that background some extra interest. I used Wilted Violet Distress Ink and an ink blending tool to add some color to the background. I used a wet paint brush to add some splatter and dabbed the drops off with a paper towel.

I stamped the sentiment, from Ella & Friends, and adhered the cat image. I also added two balloons and a sign to the top of the big cat image.

I adhered the panel onto a Sticky Note cardbase, and done is the card.

This stamp set is so cool, love working with it.

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS (2)

I created a card with die cuts only (aside from the sentiment of course). I used the Stitched Ornaments dies from Lawn Fawn to create this Christmas card.

I started by die cutting all the elements from Lawn Fawn cardstock. The cardbase is Peacock, the rest I used is: Mermaid, Guava, Ballet Slippers and Narwhal cardstock.

I adhered all the little detail elements to the ornaments. When that was done, I adhered the ornaments to the cardbase. Added the little bows and strings and then went over to the embellishing.

I used Nuco Crystal Drops to add more details to each ornament. The colors I used are: Red Berry, Caribbean Ocean, White and Bubblegum Blush.

I stamped the sentiment and my card is done.

Although it's a very simple card, it's pretty time consuming with all the detailed elements.

SO THANKFUL THAT WE'RE FRIENDS (2)

For this friendship card, I used the Love Letters stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I used a rainbow of colors.

I started by stamping the birds in a row. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Red bird: R14 - R29
Orange bird: Y38 - YR16
Yellow bird: Y02 - Y06
Green bird: YG06 - G14
Blue bird: B12 - B14
Purple bird: BV000 - BV02
Pink bird (only partially seen on either side of the card): RV10 - R83
Beaks: YR16/ R14

I trimmed the piece of cardstock with the birds on it into a strip. I adhered it to a piece of Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Paper, that I embossed on either side with the Stitched Borders dies.

I adhered the strip onto a piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment (from Jump For Joy). I used four colors to stamp the sentiment, giving it an hombre look. For the top part I used Sunflower Ink and Carrot Ink. For the bottom part I used Fish Tank Ink and Freshly Cut Grass Ink.

I adhered the entire panel onto a Raspberry cardbase. As a finishin touch I added white dots to the bellies of the birds.

It's always so much fun to create a rainbow colored card.

SEASON'S GREETINGS (4)

I created a Christmas shaker card, using the Happy Easter stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Perfect for Easter, but as you can see it can be used for other holidays.

For the background panel, I used a piece of Mermaid cardstock. I stamped snow onto it, over the entire panel, using the big snow drops stamp that comes with the Snow Cool set. I heat embossed it with White Ranger embossing powder.

I die cut a frame, using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I added accetate and a double layer of foam tape. I put some sequins and stars inside and added the shaker window onto my panel.

I stamped the bunny, the santa hat from Toboggan Together and the present from Gleeful Gardens. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bunny: W5 - W7/ RV13 - RV21
Santa hat: R14 - R29/ C0 - C2
Present: B12 - B14/ R14 - R29

I fussy cut the images and added them to my panel and shaker window. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (from Home for the Holidays) onto a srip of Blue Jay cardstock. I adhered it to the card. The panel was adhered to a Narwhal cardbase. I rounded of the two right corners.

I don't create shakers often, because the aren't easy to make. An many times I don't like the result. For this one, I'm okay with it!

OH HAPPY DAY (2)

I used the new Bits & Pieces stamp set from Concord & 9th for this birthday card. I used Lawn Fawn Inks for stamping.

I used the big solid stripe stamp to create a stacked cake. I used four Lawn Fawn Inks: Grape Soda Ink, Butter Ink, Bubblegum Ink and Mermaid Ink. For the sentiment and candles I used Hippo Ink.

I trimmed the panel to a square and embossed stitched lines on all for sides, using the Stitched Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

I adhered the panel onto a piece of Watercolor Wishes paper and then added it to a Sticky Note cardbase. As a finishing touch, I added Silver Moondust Crystal Drops from Nuvo to the flames of the candles.

Clean and simple. This card took me about 10 minutes to make.

YOU'RE TOTALLY RAWRSOME (1)

For this party animal card, I used the Wild For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started on the background and scene. I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock with the Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. I also die cut two grass borders, with the Meadow Borders dies.

For the sky I used two Distress Ink colors: Ripe Persimmon and Candied Apple. For the grass I used Twisted Citron.

I stamped a banner from the Bannertastic stamp set. I used two Lawn Fawn Ink colors, to fill in the banner: Butter Ink and Sunflower Ink. The sentiment is from Costume Party.

I stamped the images from Wild For You and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Giraffe: Y17 – Y38/ E00 – E11/ E57 – E29
Lion: E29 – E57/ E31 – E33
Crocodile: B93 – B96
Mouse: C0 – C3
Crown: Y11 – Y02
Party hats: B02 – B14/ R22 -R35/ YG03 – YG06
Butterflies: Y11 – Y02/ YG03 – YG06

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added a little dotted line with Hippo Ink, to show the flight of one of the butterflies.

A card for many occasions.

HELLO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (1)

I used the new Bits & Pieces stamp set from Concord & 9th for this birthday card. I used Lawn Fawn Inks for stamping.

I started by stamping the stripes in Manatee Ink. I then added the flowers and leafs. Here are the ink colors I used: Grape Soda Ink, Moonstone Ink, Peachy Keen Ink and Minty Fresh Ink.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, with Clear Gloss embossing powder from Wow. I adhered the panel onto a piece of Narwhal cardstock. As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the center of the flowers. I used three different colors: Bubblegum Blush, Sweet Lilac and Silver Moondust.

This stamp set is so diverse and versatile, super easy to create clean and simple cards with. I think I will be using this often!

MERRY CHRISTMAS (7)

I wanted to try something different for this Christmas card. I used the Village Border die from lawn Fawn and the Merry Script die from Mama Elephant.

For the background, I wanted to use Distress Inks as watercolord. I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added lots of water to the panel with a paint brush. I then added color to the paper. I used three Distress Ink colors: Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac. I dried it with my heat tool and added another layer of water and color. Then I set the panel aside to air dry.

In the meantime I die cut the village border from white cardstock and the word Merry. The word I die cut three times, so I can stack them together for extra dimension.

When the panel was dry, I added some pain splatter onto it. I used two colors from the Starry Colors set by Gansai Tambi: Blue Gold and White Gold.

I assembled the card, heat embossed the second part of the sentiment underneath the word merry and added the panel onto a white piece of cardstock. I adhered the entire panel onto a Ballet Slippers cardbase.

It was a very simple card to make. It’s also fun to create a more classic and elegant Christmas card every once in a while, instead of the fun and whimsical ones.

MAY YOUR DAYS BE BEARY & BRIGHT (2)

I’ve been seeing a lot of these spotlight cards lately. This is a technique were you ‘spotlight’ a part of your card panel, by raising it up. But it still flows with the background. I used the Beary Happy Holidays stamp set from Lawn Fawn for this card.

I took a piece of watercolor cardstock and die cut a square from it, with the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables. When it’s die cut, I taped the two pieces together on the back with some low tack tape. This way the little square will stay in place.

I die cut a hill with the Stitched Hillside Borders and used the negative space as a mask/ stencil. I blended Thumbled Glass Ink onto the paper. Towards the top, I used Fossilized Amber.

I stamped the images from Beary Happy Holidays and I used the tree images from happy Trails. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bear: 090 – Grey/ 091 – Light Grey
Scarf + hearts: 022 – Carmine Red
Skates: 050 – Yellow/ 052 – Bright Yellow

I fussy cut the images. I assembled the card. I die cut another three squares and put them inside the die cut square on the panel. This way it’s stacked well, without using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Guava cardstock and heat embossed it with the white embossing powder from Ranger. I trimmed it to a thin strip and added it to my card, that I adhered to a Guava cardbase. I added some white Nuvo drops, to look like snow, onto the sky.

I really enjoy these spotlight cards, so I think I will be making more in the future.

CARD SET: HAPPY PAWLIDAYS (1)

I created three cards with one stamp set again. I used the Happy Pawlidays stamp set from My Favorite Things this time.

I die cut three panels with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I used Distress Inks to create the background. For the bottom part I used Ground Espresso and the top part I blended with Peacock Feathers.

I stamped all the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Tree: G21 – BG96/ E57 – E29
Star: Y17 – YR15
Dogs: E31 – E33/ E08 – E18/ C3 – C5/ E02/ W5 – W7
Scarfs + hats: R14 – R17/ C0/ YG06 – G07
Ornaments + lights: Y17 – YR15 Presents: R14 – R17/ B02 – B14/ C0 – C3

I fussy cut all the images, assembled the cards and stamped the sentiments. I used a different one for each card. I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the trees. I used three colors: Red Berry, Apple Green and White. I added Glossy accents to the star ornament and some white stripes and dots to several elements.

I added each card onto a cardbase and the set is finished.

Such cute dogs, it was really hard to choose from them because I had to leave on out. I will use this dog image on a next card.
