BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, I BELIEVE IN YOU (1)

I created this encouragement card with the Believe in Yourself mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn and their Shooting Star dies.

I started on the background. I wanted to create a subtle watercolored background, with soft colors. I used Distress Inks to watercolor the background. I took a wide brush and added stripes from left to right with Old Paper Distress Ink. I took a slightly less wide brush to add Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. I set the background aside to dry properly.

I stamped the Jackalope image and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Jackalope: E41 – E43
Antlers: E25 – E29

I fussy cut the image. I then decided to add some star to the scene and die cut the big star from the Shooting Star set once and the little star twice. I used a mini ink blending tool and Fossilized Amber Distress Ink to color the stars. I used a light hand, so it wouldn’t be too overpowering.

I added some glitter to the stars with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I adhered them with foam tape to the watercolored background. I then added the Jackalope.

I stamped the sentiment in two different Lawn Fawn ink colors. I used Sunflower Ink for the top portion and Hippo Ink for the bottom part.

I added the panel to an light aqua colored cardbase and done is the card.

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, BE A LITTLE SHELLFISH (1)

It’s been a while since I created a birthday card. I used the Year Six stamp from Lawn Fawn to make one.

I stamped the oyster and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Outside shell: BG23 – BG49
Inside Shell: BG93 – BG95
Oyster: R22 – R35 – R29

I fussy cut the image and went over to the background. I die cut a blue circle with the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I die cut another one from brown cardstock and then die cut a little hill from it, with the Stitched Hillside Borders. This is going to be the bottom of the ocean for the oyster to sit on. This hill I covered with the Spectrum Boir Clear Sparkle Pen, to give it some shimmer and shine.

I die cut a scalloped circle from vellum, with the Scalloped Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. I adhered the circle onto it. I adhered the oyster with foam tape and also added some glitter to the oyster.

I added the scalloped circle with the circle and oyster onto some pattern paper, from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper collection.

I stamped the sentiment in two Lawn Fawn ink colors. I used Merman Ink and Wild Rose Ink. I trimmed the sentiment into a banner and added it to the panel with foam tape. I adhered the complete panel to a grey cardbase.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (3)

It’s almost Halloween, so time for another Halloween card. And the Booyah stamp set from Lawn Fawn is one of my favorite stamp sets to work with.

I stamped five ghosts and dressed them up like a witch, the bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, a pirate and a cat. I colored them with Copic Markers and here are the colors I used:
Ghosts: C0 – C2
Witch’s hat: V06 – V09/ C5/ Y17
Broom: E25 – E29/ E41 – E43
Dracula’s wings + ears: W5 – W7
Bow tie: R46
Pirate’s hat: G14 – G05 – G17/ W2
Hook: W5 – W7/ C5
Cat’s ears + tail: V06 – V09
Treat bag: Y17 – YR16

When I finished coloring the images, I fussy cut them out with my scissors. I trimmed a white cardbase, longer than usual, and stamped the sentiment on it in Juice Box Ink from Lawn Fawn. I added the little spider to the end of the sentiment. The dash line is stamped in Hippo Ink from Lawn Fawn.

As a finishing touch I rounded off the two bottom corners with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. I also added some glitter to the buckle on the witch’s hat, the purple stripe in the bride’s hair, the bow tie and the treat bag, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

Happy Halloween everyone!

SENDING JOY FOR THE HOLIDAYS (2)

I created this ice skating scene with the Snow Much Fun stamp set from Avery Elle.

I stamped the skating moose and the penguin and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Moose: E25 – E29
Antlers: E41 – E43
Sweater: R46 – R59
Hat + skates: C0 – C2/ C5

SENDING WARM HOLIDAY HUGS (1)

I made this simple Christmas card with the Holidays Hugs stamp set from Wplus9.

I stamped the image of the girl and the bear and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bear: C0 – C2
Scarf + coat + boots: BG23 – BG49
Hat + pants: R22 – R35
Skin: E02 – E11
Hair: W5 – W7

I fussy cut the image and went over to the scene. I didn’t want to much going on, I wanted the focus to be on the stamped image. I die cut some watercolor cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and blended two Distress Ink colors onto it with an ink blending tool. I started with Peacock Feathers on the bottom and Worn Lipstick towards the top of the cardbase. I then added some water drops onto the panel and dabbed them off with a paper towel to create a distressed effect.

I die cut two hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn, from white cardstock. I adhered them to the panel, the top one with foam tape. I adhered the bear and girl onto the panel with foam tape as well. I stamped the sentiment with Soot Ink from Lawn Fawn, because I didn’t want it to be so dark black. This is a dark grey, so it’s more muted.

I adhered the panel to an aqua colored cardbase and done I my card.

JOYFUL WISHES (1)

I created some cards with the Joy to the Woods stamp set from Lawn Fawn before, but this is actually the first Christmas card I make with this set.

I started by stamping all the images. I stamped the fox, the bird and the trees. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Fox: YR68 – E08/ E00 – E21
Bird: R46 – R59/ Y17
Trees: E41 – E43

I die cut all the images using the coordinating dies and went over to my scene. I wanted to frame the scene up, so I used the Stitched Square Scallop Frames from My Favorite Things. I die cut it four times, so I could stack the four frames up to create dimension. I also die cut two hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn, from white cardstock.

I added vellum to the back of the frames and adhered two of the birch trees behind the vellum. I adhered the hills and the other two trees on top of the vellum and also adhered the fox and the bird. The left birch tree and fox were adhered with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow, onto the vellum background. I adhered the complete scene onto a purple, square cardbase. As a finishing touch A stamped the paw prints into the snowy hill, with Manatee Ink from Lawn Fawn.

What a nice and pretty scene.

CANDY BOX (3)

For the new Lawnscaping Challenge, the task was to use purple, black and a color of your choice. I picked orange for the third color and created a Halloween themed Candy Box.

I took the Candy Box die from Lawn Fawn and die cut it twice from purple cardstock, with my Cuttlebug. I folded all the score lines and assembled the box.

I trimmed two strips of orange cardstock and added them around the candy box. I also die cut a scalloped circle with the Scalloped Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn, from black cardstock and added it over the orange strip onto the candy box.

I stamped one of the ghosts from the Booyah stamp set and also added the treat bag. I colored the image with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Ghost: C0 – C2
Treat bag: Y17 – YR04

I fussy cut the ghost and added it to the candy box with foam tape. For a little shimmer, I added some glitter to the ghost with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I added some orange/ white twine to close the box, and done it is!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS (1)

I wanted to do something different, something simple and clean. I used the Gifts of Love stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I started by die cutting a rectangle from white cardstock, with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I then took the big tree stamp and stamped it three times onto the panel. I first inked the stamp up with Freshly Cut Grass Ink and then added a little Noble Fir Ink to the top, to give it an ombre look. The tree trunk I stamped in Doe Ink and the star on top is Sunflower Ink. For the bottom portion of the card, I took the little dots stamp and repeatedly stamped it with Manatee Ink. All ink s I used are from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the beautiful sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder from Ranger. I adhered the panel to a piece of Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper from Lawn Fawn, with foam tape. I also added some glitter to the stars, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I added the panel to a green cardbase and done is my card.

Really simple and easy to make, especially when you’re mass producing. Not my favorite card, but I’m still happy with it.

SENDING WARM WISHES FOR A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON (1)

I saw Chari Moss, from the Lawn Fawn design team, make this card with the Home for the Holidays stamp set. She made a spinner card, mine isn’t, but I just loved the design.

Windows: C0
Tires: W7/ C2
Exhaust: C2

I fussy cut all the images and went over to my scene. I s die cut a circle, with the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things, from some white cardstock. I also die cut a scalloped circle with the Scalloped Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn, using one of the pattern papers from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper collection. YETI IT'S COLD OUTSIDE (1)

I used the Yeti, Set, Go stamp set from Lawn Fawn for this night sky Christmas themed card.

I started on the background, so it could properly dry. I first used my blending tool and some Distress Inks to create a night sky. I used Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I wanted to add stars to the sky. I took the Starry Sky stencil from My Favorite Things. I used Texture Paste from Ranger and mixed it with Mustard Seed Distress Ink to give the paste a yellow color. I applied the texture paste onto the sky with a pallet knife. When it was evenly spread, I removed the stencil and set the background aside to dry.

I die cut two snow hills from white cardstock, with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the images. I used the Yeti and the earmuffs. I also used the pine trees from Toboggan Together and stamped them in Pine Needles Ink and Freshly Cut Grass Ink from Lawn Fawn. The images I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Yeti: C0 – C2 – C5/ E00 – E21/ W7/ R59
Earmuffs: R29 – R59

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug. I stamped the sentiment in Fish Tank Ink from Lawn Fawn. I assembled the scene. I adhered the front hill, the top of the yeti and the earmuffs with foam tape. The rest flat. I thought it was still missing something, so I stamped some footsteps in the snow, in Manatee Ink from Lawn Fawn. The stamp is from Joy to the Woods from Lawn Fawn.

I adhered the scene to a deep red cardbase. And done it is!
