CONGRATS, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY LIGHT UP THE CANDLES (2)

For this birthday card, I used the Birthday Monkeys stamp set from Mama Elephant. New this year, but this is only my second time using it.

For the background I did some simple ink blending. I used Twisted Citron towards the bottom of the panel. I wanted to add some splatter, so I used Blue Gold watercolor, from the Starry Color watercolor set by Gansai Tambi.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Monkeys: E53 - E55/ E71 - E77/ RV10
Leopard: E71 - E77/ YR21 - YR23/ RV10
Gifts + hats: YG11 - YG13/ R22 - R35/ B00 - B12/ BV000 - BV02/ Y15
Cupcake: BV02 - BV000/ R22 - R35/ E71 - E77/ E53 - E55
Balloons: YG11 - YG13/ R22 - R35

I fussy cut the images. I also die cut the sentiment from Gold Sparkle cardstock, using the Congrats die from My Favorite Things. I also die cut it twive from white cardstock. I layered all three die cuts for extra dimension.

I assembled the card and also added the second part of the sentiment. I used a white gelly roll pen for some highlights and dots. The panel was added to a Fake Tan cardbase.

What a fun birthday party!

HANG IN THERE (3)

For this encouragement card, I used the Hang in There stamp set from Lawn Fawn. A stamp set I haven't use since the beginning of the year.

I started by creating all the elements of the card. For the background I took a piece of white cardstock and die cut it with the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop die. I adhered it to a Kraft cardbase.

I trimmer a piece of Woodgrain cardstock to a rectangle that is smaller than my background. I also die cut one of the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames from Kraft cardstock. I layered some Perfectly Plaid Winter paper behind this frame and added it to the Woodgrain rectangle.

I stamped the images and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Sloth: E31 - E35/ W5 - W7/ W0 - W3
Branch: E15 - E18

I fussy cut the image. I stamped a banner from Bannertastic and used Butter Ink and Doe Ink to stamp the inside. I stamped the sentiment onto the banner.

I assembled the card. This was a super quick card to make actually.

REVEAL WHEEL (13)

As being my favorite die of the year, it's only suiting if this is one of the last used dies of the year as well. I created a sunny, colorful and fun reveal wheel card with the Reveal Wheel die and the Village Shops stamp set.

I started by die cutting all the elements for the reveal wheel. I ink blended the sky with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I also stamped the sentiment onto the sky part and the words onto the wheel, using Bubblegum Ink.

I die cut a hill, using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I ink blended this with Twisted Citron Distress Ink.

For die cutting the Road Border, I used Narwhal cardstock and white cardstock.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Shops + ice cream truck: RV10 - R83/ YG11 - YG13/ YR21 - Y38/ B00 - B12/ C0/ C3 - C5/ W7/ W33 - E35

I fussy cut the images. I assembled the reveal wheel, added all the elements and adhered the entire panel onto a piece of Let's Polka in the Meadow paper. Then I added the panel onto a Narwhal cardbase.

I love the color pallette on this card, this is a perfect card for someone who love shopping and who is cheery and bright.

MY FAVORITE CRAFT SUPPLIES 2018

So many new craft supplies were added to my stash this year. I either bought it myself, got it as a gift or they were sent to me as a Lawn Fawnatics Design Team Member. Like last year, I’m going to list my favorite craft supplies I got this year. They don’t necessarily need to be released in 2018, it’s what I got this year. So here we go!

STAMPS:

Coaster Critters (Lawn Fawn)
I’m a huge fan of amusement parks, so when this stamp set was released, I was so excited. I love how you can use the rollercoaster on its own, but you can also layer it and make it bigger. The three cute critters are super fun to work with and they can hold all sorts of items.

Dashing Deer (My Favorite Things)
I love using deer images on Christmas cards. I really love these deer on this stamp set. And that bunny and those two birds are also really cute. The sentiment compliment the images perfectly.

Gingham Backdrops (Lawn Fawn)
I used this stamp set so often since I got it. It has two sizes of gingham patterns. It’s such a great way to create your own pattern paper, to add a cool background or even for a border. I used it in all sorts of ways: as backgrounds, to create a gift box, on gift bags, I used it on a border. And by using a different ink color or a different cardstock, you can create so many different looks with the same stamp set. It’s an essential set for those who love gingham patterns.

Happy Llamadays (My Favorite Things)
I think this is my favorite from MFT this year. I love llamas and alpacas, so I just had to have this stamp set. These llama images are too cute and they look great on a Christmas card. Some of the images can be used onto a non-Christmas card as well. And those sentiment are just hilarious!

Holiday Bitties (Mama Elephant)
One of the newest sets on this list. I only recently got it and already used a many times. These images are so fun. They work together well, but also on their own. I especially love that sweater, that you can customize with these tiny images, turning it into an ugly Christmas sweater.

Holiday Helpers (Lawn Fawn)
I love a stamp set with lots of images, that can be added to a scene. Not alone those incredibly cute elves, but all these gift wrapping items and those toys to add. Super fun to work with these images and I created a bunch of cool Christmas cards with them.

Little Bunny Agenda (Mama Elephant)
When it has bunnies, I’m in! The little agenda series by Mama Elephant is so great and this was the first one I got. It has 20 (!!!!) little bunny images in it. No sentiments, but these bunnies are perfect to fill a card.

Little Painters (Waffle Flower)
As a crafter, the Little Painters stamp set is just to die for. I love all these different pain brushes. And the little chicks and mice you can hide behind them, peeking from the sides. Super fun to work with.

Me and My Dragon (Mama Elephant)
This stamp set instantly reminded me of “Game of Thrones” when it was released. And I’m a huge fan of the show, so this needed to be added to my collection. And since I have a brother and a friend who are also fans, I had people to create cards for with this set. I would have bought it anyway, because this set is just amazing. The dragons are so fun to color and the little people look like Daenarys and Jon Snow. And off course the wolves!

Pick of the Patch (Lawn Fawn)
Fall is my favorite season and I love creating fall and Halloween themed cards. This stamp set is perfect for both occasions. I really like the different sizes of pumpkins and all the cute faces you can add to them. And those squirrels are super sweet as well.

Rain or Shine (My Favorite Things)
And with fall comes a lot of rain. And this set is just perfect for those days. I made a bunch of cards already with this set. And I already put a smile on some people’s faces, by sending them encouragement cards made with this set. I love coloring the girl with the umbrella and it’s really easy creating fun scenes with this set.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub (Lawn Fawn)
This was the first stamp set I received from Lawn Fawn, since becoming a Design Team Member for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog. And I’ve used it a lot since then. I’ve used it for mother’s day cards, baby cards, birthday card, you name it! It’s such a fun set to create scenes with.

Some Bunny (Simon Says Stamp)
I send cards for Easter, because no one else does. And this set is one of the most used for Easter this year. I got it second hand from a fellow crafter, who didn’t use it anymore. And I gave it a good life! I love coloring that bunny and those Easter eggs.

Sweet Friends (Lawn Fawn)
When I just got this, I used it constantly. And every time it was hard to choose which images to used. Because all of them are way too sweet. And I love all those cute puns that go along with these images. Surprised a lot of people with cards and sets made with these stamps.

Toadally Awesome (Lawn Fawn)
I have a friend who hates frogs, she is terrified of them. And even she loves this set! This is my most used set of the year, together with another set I will mention later. This is such a great set, perfect to create scene cards. And that’s my favorite thing to do.

Village Shops (Lawn Fawn)
And this is the other most used stamp set. This set is perfect for scene building as well. As a kid I always enjoyed creating these scenes, drawing them or crafting them with empy cardboard boxes. This brought me back to my childhood. So I needed to have it. And it’s also great to use together with the Winter Village.

You are Sublime (Lawn Fawn)
I created so many under water themed and ocean themed cards. And this year this was my favorite set to use for these scenes. I love every image in this set, but my favorite is definitely that lantern fish!

DIES:

Gingerbread Friends (Lawn Fawn)
A birthday present! This adorable die set, creates two sizes of gingerbread men. You can add all kinds faces, swirly lines, hair, buttons, hearts. Super fun to create.

Grid Window (Mama Elephant)
This die is really great to start your card with. It can be used as a window, where images can peek through the little windows. But also as an inlay style. You can either die cut it from colored cardstock, white cardstock or ink blend it. Super versatile.

I Scream, You Scream (Lawn Fawn)
I used this die set a lot this summer. You can create a lot of different ice creams. On cones or sticks. You can add faces, sprinkles, sauces, a bite out if it. These ice creams you can create, will put an instant smile on anyone’s face!

Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop (Lawn Fawn)
If you don’t want a plain background, this die works the best. I creates polka dots from top to bottom. If you add a different color behind this die cut, the colors shows through the polka dots.

Peekaboo Backdrop (Lawn Fawn)
This die can be used like the Grid Window, so you have frames to add your images to. But you can also make it interactive, by adding flaps to the windows. You can hide an image behind the flap, which will be an extra surprise for the recipient.

Reveal Wheel (Lawn Fawn)
This is my favorite die of the year!!! I’m not a huge fan of interactive dies, simply because they take too much work. But this die is super easy to use and it doesn’t take that much work at all. I create a ton of reveal wheel cards already. And with all those amazing add-on dies that came out later, the possibilities are endless!

Simple Stitched Hillside Borders (Lawn Fawn)
The Stitched Hillside Borders die set is one of my all-time most used sets. And this one will be on that list too. I use it very often for scenes, to make my critters or items stand on it. It’s a perfect and simple way to create scene. Woodland Critter Huggers (Lawn Fawn)

Woodland Critter Huggers (Lawn Fawn)
With this die set you can create so many different kinds of animals. I love them so much. Perfect for your gift cards, goodie bags or on cards. With the add-on set you get even more options to create even cuter animals.

INKS:

Abandoned Coral Oxide Ink (Tim Holtz)
The Distress Oxide Inks were released this year. And a few colors I picked as favorites. Like this coral red color. I used it for so many different styles.

Blueprint Sketch Oxide Ink (Tim Holtz)
This is my go-to color for skies right now. Mostly used with a lighter blue, put this is the color that makes the difference in dimension. I love the deep blue color.

Forget-Me-Not (Lawn Fawn)
This is a type of blue I was looking for. I love this style of blue. Not too light, not too bold, not to bright and not too dark. A perfect shade of blue I might say.

Shaded Lilac Oxide Ink (Tim Holtz)
As a Distress Ink color, I didn’t really like it, because it was so light and you could hardly see it. But as an Oxide Ink it’s perfect. I used it with Blueprint Sketch a lot, they compliment each other very well.

Twisted Citron Oxide Ink (Tim Holtz)
Already a favorite as a Distress Ink, so also a favorite as an Oxide Ink. It’s even more vibrant as an Oxide Ink. Perfect color for grass!

OTHERS:

Autumn Red Crystal Drops (Nuvo)
Red is my favorite color, but this is the perfect red for fall. And I used it a lot for fall and Halloween themed cards. Also a color that looks great on Christmas cards.

Drifts & Hills Stencil (My Favorite Things)
If you don’t want layers on your cards, but do want to create a scene, this is your stencil. You can create hills, waves, drifts. A great scene builder!

Glue Tube (Lawn Fawn)
This glue tube is very easy to use and the glue dries clear. It can be used for bigger surfaces or smaller items you need to glue down. I use it almost every day!

Gotta Have Gingham (Lawn Fawn)
My favorite pattern paper of the year. I love gingham patterns and when Lawn Fawn released this paper line in soft colors, I needed to have it! And I used it on a lot of cards!

Pale Periwinkle Crystal Drops (Nuvo)
This color dries translucent, with a purple shine to it. I used it mostly for my ocean scenes as bubbles. It’s such a pretty and subtle color to use.

Rays Stencil (Tim Holtz)
It took me a while to finally get my hands on this stencil, because it ran out of stock so fast each time. But I got it. And I used it many times already. It’s such a great way to add sunshine to your card.

Stamp Platform (Tim Holtz)
Last year I got the MISTI, but I now prefer the Stamp Platform by Tim Holtz. It’s bigger, cheaper and easy to use. I use it almost every day. And if people ask me which stamp positioner you should get, this is the one!

Woodgrain Neutrals (Lawn Fawn)
The Woodgrain papers from Lawn Fawn are awesome. They are textured, have a great woodgrain texture. And it comes in a variety of neutral colors.
