HOORAY! IT'S YOUR DAY (1)

For this birthday card, I used the Yippee stamp set from Waffle Flower. A set that will put a smile on anyone's face!

I created the scene elements first. I used the Grassy Hillside Borders and die cut three borders. I used Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to blend them. For the sky, I used Abandoned Coral and Wild Honey Distress Inks.

I stamped five of the children and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Skins: E000 - E11/ E71 - E77/ E53 - E55
Hair: W5 - W7/ E08 - E18/ E71 - E77/ YR21 - YR23
Clothes: R14 - R29/ YR21 - Y38/ RV10 - R83/ B91 - B95/ YG11 - YG13

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentimend and added some dots and highlights with a white gelly roll pen.

I have a lot of ideas left for this stamp set. I love thes cute kid images!

WE WERE CUT OUT TO BE FRIENDS (1)

I used the Crafty Turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th for this simple friendship card.

I prepped my stamp and cardstock and stamped the Crafty Turnabout four times, with each time flipping the paper a quarter way to the right. I used four Lawn Fawn ink colors: Peacock Ink, Bubblegum Ink, Manatee Ink and Butter Ink.

For the sentiment I took a piece of Narwhal cardstock and stamped the sentiment. One part in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and the other part I heat embossed with white embossing powder from Ranger.

I added the sentiment block onto the panel with foam tape. I added the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.

It's a super quick way to create a fun crafty themed card.

POPPIN' UP TO SAY... I LOVE YOU (1)

The new Let's Toast stamp set from Lawn Fawn is just too adorable. And it comes with a great new interactive die: the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On. Here is my first card with both new products.

I started on the background. I used two Distress Oxide Ink colors: Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick. I watered down some Abandoned Coral as well, and splattered it onto the background.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Toaster: C0 - C2 - C3/ B91 - B95/ R22 - R35
Toast: E53 - E55/ E71 - E77
Pop tart: E53 - E55/ R22 - R35
Avocado: E18 - E15/ YG13 - YG11/ G05 - G28
Butter: YR000 - YR00/ R22 - R25
Knife: C0 - C3

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug.

I die cut the pull tab elements, the slot were the pull tab goes and the slider where the toast goes.

I assembled the card and added the sentiment. I also added some hightlights with a white gelly roll pen.

I think this is such a cute stamp set and there are many ways to use tha pull tab, even without this stamp set.

YOU'RE THE SWEETEST FRIEND (1)

Today, a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is live on their blog. And the theme is "Happy Little Critters". And if Lawn Fawn does one thing well, it's creating cute critter images and stamp sets. So a lot to choose from. And that actually made it a lot harder, because there is so much diversity! I designed this friendship card, using the critters from Jump For Joy and also some images from Thanks a Latte and Sweet Friends.

I started on my background. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink to create an ink blended background. I only wanted a part of the background to have this color. Towards the bottom I used some Gotta Have Gingham paper.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Coffee mug: E15 - E18/ R22 - R35
Fox + Hedgehog: E31 - E35/ E000 - E11
Owl: W0 - W3/ W5 - W7/ Yr21 - Y38
Cupcake: YR00 - YR02/ E31 - E35
Donut: YR21 - Y38/ E31 - E35

I die cut the donut and the cupcake with my Cuttlebug. The rest of the images I fussy cut with my scissors.

I assembled the card, stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Sunflower cardstock and adhered this onto the card. I added some highlights with a white gelly roll pen.

Please make sure to check out our newest challenge on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog and maybe you can join us!!!

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Koalas: W0 - W2 - W3 - W5/ RV10 - R83
Bicycle: R14 - R29/ W5 - W7/ E53 - E55
Trees: E55 - E53/ G43 - G46

I die cut and fussy cut the images. I assembled the card, stamped the sentiment and added white dots and highlights to some of the images using a white gelly roll pen.

What a fun scene. I really love the idea of the koala on the bike.

I created this friendship card, using the Friends at First Sip stamp set from My Favorite Things.

For the grass I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. For the street, I used Hickory Smoke. I don't used this ink very often.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:

CRAFTY HAUL (30)

I took serious advantage of the new year's sale and I had some gift cards, so I got a lot of new craft supplies.

I got this fun and cheery stamp set from Waffle Flower, called Yippee. It has some cute cheering kids, a banner and some festive accessories. You can also use the sentiments for the banner.

From Lawn Fawn I got the Let's Toast stamp set and the coordinating die set. I also got a die set that goes with this stamp set: the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On die. You can create an interactive element to the card. For instance you can make the toast come out of the toaster. Check the video HERE for ways to use this die. Can't wait to get started on a pull tab card.

I'm not a coffee lover, I'm more a tea kinda girl. But this stamp set by My Favorite Things was too cute to pass up. It's called Friends at First Sip and it's perfect for friendship cards. I love these images.

Lawn Fawn came out with a new backdrop die, the Polka Heart Backdrop. It comes in landscape and portrait. I got the landscape version. Maybe I will get the portrait version too one day.

Concord & 9th has a few turnabout stamp sets out now, but this is my first: the Crafty Turnabout stamp set. It is filled with fun crafty images. You stamp it, turn your paper one quarter and stamp again. You do this four times. Each time you can stamp in a different color to create a fun and colorful, crafty background. Looks like so much fun!

The Grassy Hillside Borders and the Simple Grassy Hillsides are both die set that need to be in everyone's stash. I've been wanting them for so long. And since I had some gift cards to spend at the Lawn Fawn shop, I decided to finally get them. They work with the Stitched Hillside Borders and Simple Stitched Hillsides.

You just gotta love mermaids. I got the Mermazing stamp set from My Favorite Things because it was on sale. I do have a mermaid set from Lawn Fawn, but the MFT images are much bigger and I really wanted some larger mermaid stamps. And I love creating ocean themed scenes.

This new mini set from Lawn Fawn, I Love You (calyptus), is just too adorable. That koala is very cute and I love that sentiment!!!

The second line border die I got from Lawn Fawn: the Sending Hugs Line Border. I really love adding die cut words to my cards, and this line border will work perfectly on love cards, friendship cards, encouragement cards, get well cards, mother's or father's day cards. So it's very versatile!

The last stamp set I got is the Books and Coffee stamp set from Waffle Flower. It had a great price point, so I didn't think twice about getting this one. Such cute images and also great to combine with the Little Painters set from Waffle Flower.
