SENDING WARM HOLIDAY HUGS (2)

For this Christmas card, I used the Holiday Hugs stamp set from Wplus9.

I started on the background. I die cut a square from my front panel, using the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables. For the inside of the square, I die cut a square from Perfectly Plaid Chill paper. Later I will add this square to the inside of the die cut square.

I stamped the sentiment in Carrot Ink.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bear: E57 – E29
Scarf: B28 – B37
Presents: B28 – B37/ Y17 – YR16/ YG41 – G02
Hair: W3 – W5 – W7
Skin: E31 – E33
Girl’s clothes: Y17 – YR16/ YG41 – G02/ B28 – B37

I fussy cut the images and added them to the panel. I added the panel onto a Blue Jay cardbase and put the plaid square on the inside.

I rounded off the two bottom corners and added some white dots and stripes to some of the elements on the card.

It’s so fun to revisit older stamp sets.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS (5)

I used the Gifts of Love stamp set, from Simon Says Stamp, for this Holiday card.

I wanted to create my own background. I stamped the tree in two Lawn Fawn inks: Manatee Ink and Minty Fresh Ink. I also heat embossed a couple of the trees, with the Silver embossing powder from Ranger.

I stamped the sentiment in Lobster Ink and then heat embossed it with Clear Gloss embossing powder from Wow.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Cat: W0 – W2 – W3/ W3 – W5
Scarf: R17 – R46
Presents: r17 – R46/ BG34 – BG23/ W3 – W5

I fussy cut the images and adhered them to the background. I added the panel onto a Raspberry cardbase and rounded off the bottom left and top right corner. I added some white dots to some elements on the card.

I just love using this color palette for Christmas cards.

YOU'RE A FRIEND LIKE NO ONE ELF (1)

For this Christmas card, I used the Santa’s Elves stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started on the background. I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX. I used Crushed Olive Distress Ink to blend the background. I wanted it darker on the bottom and eventually blending it lighter into white towards the top. I added water droplets to the blended part and dabbed the water off with a paper towel.

I stamped the sentiment onto the background and set it aside.

I stamped all the images on watercolor paper, because I colored them with the Zig Clean Color Real Brish Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Tree: 041 – Light Green
Star: 050 – Yellow
Tree trunk: )62 – Dark Brown
Skin: E71 – Flesh Color
Clothes: 022 – Carmine Red/ 041 – Light Green/ 050 – Yellow
Ornament: 032 – Persian Blue
Hair: 060 – Brown
Presents: 032 – Persian Blue/ 022 – Carmine Red/ 050 – Yellow

I fussy cut all the images and adhered them to the background. I added the panel onto a piece of Raspberry cardbase.

It’s fun to use something other than Copic Markers to color images.

GOODIE BAG (4)

A friend asked me to create so fun goodie bags for her daughter's birthday party. She loves unicorns, pink and glitters. Well, consider it done! I used the Goodie Bag die and the Winter Unicorn stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting 9 goodie bags, which means 18 panels. I used three different colors of cardstock: Ballet Slippers, Guava and Raspberry.

I wanted a cloud border on the bottom of the goodie bag, so I die cut 9 of those from white cardstock, using the Puffy Cloud Borders.

I stamped the unicorn 9 times and colored it with Copic Markers. I used the same colors on each one of them. Here are the colors I used:
Unicorn: C0 - C3
Hair: BG34 - BG13/ R22 - R35
Scarf: B18 - B37
Hooves + ear: R35

For the horns, I used the Silver Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir.

I fussy cut the unicorns and started assembling the goodie bags.

I die cut some tags, from the Tiny Tags set. I stamped the word "to" onto it, so the names of all the children can be written on here. I added it to the goodie bag with some twine.

To finish it off, I put some tissue paper inside each goodie bag. Now we just need a little treat to put inside and these goodie bags are party ready.

TRICK OR TREAT, TREATS OF COURSE! (2)

I combined two Lawn Fawn stamp sets for this Halloween card: Costume Party and Booyah.

I started on the elements for the background. For the sky, I used the Cloud stencil, from My Favorite Things. I used Wilted Violet Distress Ink to create a spooky sky. For the ground portion, I die cut a tree hill, with the Stitched Tree Borders. I made it black with Black Soot Distress Ink. I heat embossed the sentiment onto it, with white embossing powder from Ranger.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Mummy: C0 - C3
Ghosts: C0 - C2
Skin: E00 - E11
Witch: W5 - W7/ YG07 - G28
Hair: E31 - E33
Pumpkin: Y38 - YR16 - YR07/ YG07 - G28
Broom: E08 - E18/ E31 - E33
Bowl of candy: C0 - C3 - C5/ V04 - V17/ Y38 - YR07
Candy bar: YR07 - Y38/ V04 - V17

I fussy cut all the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Noble Fir cardbase and rounded off the top right corner.

I will also make some Halloween treats soon, so stay tuned!

WISHING YOU LOTS OF SMILES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON (2)

For this Christmas/ winter themed card, I combined a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamp sets: Critters in the Arctic, Sealed with a Kiss and Snow Cool.

I wanted te create my own blended background, without to many layers. For the bottom part, which I masked off, I wanted to create waves. I used the Cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. I you flip the paper around, you can also make waves with this stencil. I used Thumbled Glass Distress Ink for this. I switched my mask to the other side of the paper and blended, very softly, the color Iced Spruce. This is the snow bank, which I didn't want just plain white. For the sky, I started at the top with Squeezed Lemonade. I added a little but if Carved Pumpkin to the edges, but softened it with the Squeezed Lemonade again. I stamped my sentemint in Soot Ink.

I stamped all the images and colored them with Copic Markers. It's very simple coloring, here are the colors I used:
Walrus: E31 - E33
Seals: W0 - W3 - W5
Ice + igloo: C0 - C2/ W7

I fussy cut all the images and assembled the card. I adhered the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.

I made it a Christmas card, because of the sentiment, but with a different greeting you can make it perfect for any other occassion.

SENDING YOU WARM HUGS (3)

Time to get out the Cocoa Cups die set from My Favorite Things, for this Christmas card.

I started on the background. I die cut a white piece of cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX. I didn't want to leave it plain white, so I took a stencil from Altenew (Halftone Stencil) and blended Iced Spruce onto the paper. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with Clear Gloss embossing powder from Wow.

I went over to my die cutting. I die cut all the elements from Ballet Slippers cardstock and Peacock cardstock. I used regular brown and white cardstock for the tea and cream. I assembled the elements. I added some White Neon Amplify from Tsukineko to the cream and hit it with my heat tool. The white starts to puff and it looks like actual cream. I added some glitter to the hearts on the mugs, with the Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir and then added Glossy Accents to them.

For the tea bag, I used a piece of twine that I adhered to the label of the tea bag and the other end I tucked under the tea.

I adhered the mugs onto the stenciled background and added the panel onto a piece of Perfectly Plaid Chill paper. The completed panel I added to a Ballet Slippers cardbase.

A hug in a mug!

For this simple Christmas card, I used the Cheery Christmas stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting two rectangles, with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. One from Perfectly Plaid Chill paper and the other from Sticky note cardstock. The plaid one I trimmed and then adhered it to the Sticky Note paper. I stamped the sentiment into the left corner.

I stamped all the images. The mistletoe I stamped in Freshly Cut Grass Ink and the ladder in Doe Ink. The other images I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Squirrels: E08 - E18
Bird: BG34 - BG13/ R14
Santa hat + berries: R14 - R46

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Blue Jay cardbase, leaving a big border around the panel.

Really simple and I used the color pallette from the pattern paper.

The hills I die cut from Narwhal cardstock, using the Stitched Mountain Borders. And I die cut a scalloped circle from Raspberry cardstock, using the Scalloped Circle Stackables.

I stamped the images and started coloring. I used Copic Markers, here are the colors I used:
Bear: E29 -E57/ E31 - E33
Scarf: BG34 - BG13
Goggles: BG000 - B00/ B37 - B39

Three cards from one stamp set, I love doing this and having them in a similar style. Or as here, the same design with only the images and sentiments being different.

I stamped all the images. The tree was stamped in Noble Fir. The rest of the images I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
