I'M ROOTING FOR YOU (2)

All of I sudden I was in the mood to use the Rooting For You stamp set, from Lawn Fawn.

I first created the scene. I took a piece of pattern paper from the Let’s Polka in the Meadow collection, by Lawn Fawn. I die cut a rectangle from it, with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I also die cut one from green and kraft cardstock. From the green I then die cut a grassy border with the Meadow Borders die from Lawn Fawn. For the kraft cardstock I used the Stitched Hillside Borders. I assembled them and stamped the sentiment.

When then scene was as good as finished already, I went over to the veggies. I stamped all of them in Lawn Fawn Inks. Here are the inks I used:
Carrot: Carrot Ink and Pumpkin Spice Ink
Beet: Lobster Ink and Cranberry Ink
Turnip: Butter Ink and Doe Ink
Vines: Freshly Cut Grass Ink and Noble Fir Ink
Watering Can: Fresh Lavender Ink
I stamped faces on all the veggies.

I fussy cut them and added them to the scene. I just love sing this stamp set. It’s so easy to create a cute scene with those vegetables.

SUPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY FRIEND (1)

I made a birthday card using the Critters in the Forest stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting a rectangle, with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things, from watercolor cardstock. I did it twice. One is the background panel, from the other I will die cut a grass border with the Grassy Border die from Lawn Fawn. For the sky I used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. For the grass I used Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn. I adhered the two pieces together, with foam tape.

I stamped my images. I used the tree, the owl and the two mushrooms. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Tree: BG93 – BG96/ E25 – E29
Owl: E25 – E29/ E41 – E43
Beak: YR00 – YR02
Mushrooms: R22 – R35/ YR000 – YR00

I fussy cut the images and added them to my scene with foam tape. Only the owl was adhered flat, because he is behind the tree.

I stamped the images, that is from the Beary Special Birthday set from My Favorite Things. Then I adhered the panel to a piece of pattern paper, from the Beachside paper pad from Lawn Fawn.

I LOVE YOU (3)

With the Love You S’More stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I created this round love card.

I started by stamping the images. I used the s’more, the fire, the logs and the moon. The logs I stamped in Doe Ink from Lawn Fawn. The rest of the images I colored with Copic Markers.
Fire: Y17 – YR04 – R14
S’More: E41 – E43/ E25 – E29
Moon: Y11 – Y02

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug. Then I went over to the background. I die cut two circles from watercolor paper, using the Double Stitched Circle STAX. On I’m going to use as the sky, from the other I die cut grass with the Meadow Borders from Lawn Fawn. I used Distress and my mini ink blending tool to color the sky and grass. For the sky I used Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. For the grass I used Mowed Lawn.

I stamped the sentiment on the front. On the inside I stamped s’more every day.

A cute, small love card, to send to your friend, spouse, valentine, whatever.

THANKS YOU'RE ONE OF A KIND (2)

I created this very simple thank you card, heat embossing the front panel. I used the Dream stamp from Lawn Fawn.

I took a piece of dark red cardstock and stamped the two feather images onto it, several times, with Versamark Ink. I then heat embossed it with Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder from Wow.

From white cardstock I die cut the word thanks, with the Thanks Word from Paper Smooches. I die cut it twice, so I could layer them for more dimension.

From the Magical Unicorn stamp set (My Favorite Things), I took the second part of the sentiment. I stamped it onto black cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow.

I trimmed the white on black sentiment to a small strip. I adhered the thanks word. Underneath I adhered the strip, with foam tape. As a finishing touch I rounded off the bottom right and top left corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The cardbase I used, is the same cardstock as the front panel.

Super simple card, yet so shiny and pretty.

SENDING YOU MONSTER HUGS (1)

Time for an encouragement card, using the Monster Mash stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I masked off my piece of watercolor paper, so there are four rectangle shapes. I’m going to watercolor them with Distress Inks. Not all rectangles have the same size, but it looks kind of playful that way. I used four Distress Ink colors: Mermaid Lagoon, Candied Apple, Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed.

I stamped five of the monsters from the set and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Red monsters: R22 – R35 – R29
Yellow monster: Y08 – Y17/ R22 – R35
Green monster: G14 – G05/ Y08 – Y17
Blue monster: B02 – B05/ G14

I fussy cut all the images and adhered them onto the watercolored panel. I adhered them with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to some pattern paper, from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas pad from Lawn Fawn.

To finish the card, I added some glitter to the monsters with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

This is meant to be an encouragement card, but it’s also perfect for birthdays, as a thank you card or for a friend.

WE FLAMIN-GO TOGETHER (2)

I wanted to make another pop-up card. This time using the Flamingo Together stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I decided to create the pop-up scene first. I die cut the pop-up hills, with the Stitched Hillside Pop-Up, from kraft cardstock. For the cardbase, I used Distress Ink and my mini Ink Blending Tool to give it some color. For the water at the bottom I used Cracked Pistachio. For the sky I wanted to create a sunset. I used Abandoned Coral, Wild honey and Squeezed Lemonade. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom and added the pop-up to the cardbase.

I die cut the sun, from the Sun and Moon die set from lawn Fawn. I added it to the sky of the card.

I stamped the two flamingos. I also stamped the big palm tree a couple of times. I used Doe Ink and Freshly Cut Grass Ink (both from Lawn Fawn) for this. The flamingos I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Flamingos: RV21 – RV23
Beaks: W5 – W7

I fussy cut the flamingos and palm trees and adhered them to the pop-up.

HAPPY MAIL (2)

It’s the fourth card this year I’m creating with the Love Letters stamp set from Lawn Fawn. It’s such a cute and fun set to work with and ideas keep coming to me. This time a happy mail card to send a friend.

I wanted to create a pile of envelopes. I started at the top and worked my way down. I masked of the envelopes, so that it looks like the envelopes are lying on top of each other. One of the birds I stamped on top of the pile. I also stamped the speech bubble and added the sentiment to it.

I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bird: YR000 – YR00 – YR02
Beak: YR07
Envelopes: C0 – C2
Hearts: R22

I fussy cut all the images. I took a dark purple cardbase and embossed the top and bottom of the front. I used the Stitched Borders dies from Lawn Fawn. I also trimmed a strip of light pink cardbase and added that embossed line to it. This way it doesn’t look like the pile of envelopes is just floating.

I adhered the images with foam tape and added glitter to the little hearts, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

I just can’t get enough of this cute set.

YOU OCTOPI MY HEART (1)

I recently got this cute mini set from Lawn Fawn: Octupi My Heart. I created a love card with it.

I started with the background, because I wanted to watercolor it and it needs to dry properly. I took four Distress Inks and smooshed them onto my craft mat. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio and Wilted Violet. I die cut a piece of watercolor paper with one of the dies from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, by My Favorite Things. I added some water to the paper and then applied the colors one by one onto the paper. When the panel dried, I added some water droplets and dabbed them off with a paper towel. I set the panel aside to let it dry.

I stamped the octopus and the heart onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Octopus: V01 – V12
Heart: R35 – R29

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug. I stamped the sentiment onto the watercolor panel and then added the octopus and heart onto it with foam tape.

I took a piece of pattern paper from the Beachside paper pad from Lawn Fawn. I adhered my panel to it with foam tape. The entire panel was adhered onto a purple cardbase.

This is such a fun and easy card to make. The watercolor look, makes it look like an art piece, even though it didn’t really take long to make.

HAPPY MAIL (1)

I made an simple, easy and quick card with the Love Letters stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I first die cut a rectangle, with the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I stamped the envelope image repeatedly with Plastic Flamingo Ink from Lawn Fawn. I later also added the heart image, with the same ink.

I stamped one of the birds, the envelope and the speech bubble. I added the sentiment ‘happy mail’ to the speech bubble. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bird: YR00 – YR02/ YR68
Envelope: C0 – C2

I fussy cut the images and adhered them to the stamped panel. I trimmed a small strip of aqua cardstock and added it underneath the bird, so he doesn’t just float. I adhered the panel to an aqua cardbase.

And done it is already. Such a fun card, easy to create multiple of those at once.

WE'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER... CAKE!

The Hello Chum set from Avery Elle, is definitely a stamp set that is very original and unique. And it can easily be used for more masculine cards. I created a birthday card with these sharks.

I took a piece of watercolor paper and stamped a couple of images onto it, with Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the stamped images with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow. I used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to water color the images. Here are the colors I used:
Shark: 091 – Light Grey/ 026 – Light Pink/ 010 – Black
Surf board: 052 – Bright Yellow/ 041 – Light Green
Fish: 070 – Orange
Background: 031 – Cobalt Blue

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink as well and heat embossed it with the same embossing Powder. I used black cardstock for this. I trimmed it to a narrow strip and adhered them with foam tape onto the watercolored background.

I adhered the panel to a white cardbase and rounded off the two bottom corners, with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

I love this technique and I’m planning on doing this more often this year.

LOVE YOU (1)

For this love card I combined products from several different companies. The stamp set is from My Favorite Things, it’s Adorable Elephants.

I started by stamping the elephant and the heart shaped balloon. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Elephant: W0 – W2/ RV10
Balloon: RV21 – RV13

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug and went over the background. I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock with the Stitched Square Scalloped Frames from My Favorite Things. I wanted the frame and inside to stay together, so I taped them together in the back. I used Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool to give the square some colors. I used two colors: Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick.

For the background I took a dark aqua piece of cardstock and stamped the words ‘love you’ repeatedly with Merman Ink from Lawn Fawn. It’s really hard to see on the photo, but it’s a tone on tone look and that was what I wanted. I stamped the word one more time onto some white cardstock and trimmed it into a strip with a fishtail on one side. The sentiment stamp set I used is Oh Happy Day from Avery Elle.

I die cut a vellum circle with the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I also die cut some hearts, from aqua and pink cardstock, using the Hearts dies from Lawn Fawn.

I adhered all the elements together and added them to the aqua background. I adhered the panel to a pink cardbase, that was slightly bigger, so there was a strip of pink showing at the left of the card.

I added glitter to the balloon with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and then added Glossy Accents to it. I rounded off the bottom right corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

SNAIL MAIL FOR YOU (2)

I’m in the mood to create a fun, garden scene. What other than the Gleeful Gardens set from Lawn Fawn is perfect for this idea?

I stamped all the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Mushrooms: YR00 – YR02/ Y00 – Y02
Snails: YR00 – YR02/ V91 – V95
Flowers: V91 – V95/ Y00 – Y02/ YG41 – G02
Hummingbird: YG41 – G02/ YR02
Present: YG41 – G04/ Y00 – Y02

I fussy cut all the images, which was a lot of work. I set them aside to create the background. I die cut two grassy borders from green cardstock, with the Meadow Borders from Lawn Fawn. For the sky, I used Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, and I blended it with an ink blending tool. To add more texture to it, I added some water droplets to it and dabbed them off with a paper towel.

I stamped the sentiment and added the lines to each end of the sentiment. I adhered everything to the blended sky background. The front grassy border, the small mushroom, the bird and the present were adhered with foam tape. The rest flat.

I added glitter to the dots on the mushrooms, the hummingbird, the pebbles on the flowers and the snail’s house. I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

A really cute card, for many different occasions.

HI CUTIE PIE (2)

The Cutie Pie stamp set from Lawn Fawn is meant for thanksgiving or fall, but I used it for a love card. Because the sentiment is perfect for that!

I wanted to create my own background and use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color it. I stamped the pie multiple times onto some watercolor cardstock. I also stamped the steam lines here and there, to fill the empty spaces. I colored the pies and the rest of the background with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Pie: 072 – Beige
Tray: 022 – Carmine Red/ 026 – Light Pink
Background: 091 – Light Grey

I stamped another separate pie. Instead of stamping those lines on it I stamped a smiley face on it. This one I fussy cut after I colored it. I adhered it to a aqua colored strip and also stamped the sentiment onto that strip.

I adhered the background onto some vellum, that was only slightly bigger. Then I adhered the panel onto some plaid paper, from the Perfectly Plaid paper pad from Lawn Fawn. I did this with foam tape. I adhered the sentiment strip onto the card.

I was missing something, so I took the Hearts dies from lawn Fawn and die cut the three smallest hearts from coral cardstock. I adhered them above the little pie with foam tape. To give them some extra dimension, I added glitter to them with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and then added Glossy Accents to them.

I really like the colors on this card and how I used the pattern for my color choices.
