SEASON'S TWEETINGS (1)

Well, almost October. I'm so ready for colder weather, which is somehow not happening here in The Netherlands yet. I created this Christmas card with the Winter Birds stamp set and the Build-a-Birdhouse die set (with its add-on). All products are from Lawn Fawn.

For the sky, I wanted a crisp blue snowy sky. I ink blended with Blueprint Sketch and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks. When it was dry, I added snowflakes with the Snowflake Background Stencils and Yeti Ink. I also added splatted with some white paint.

I die cut the snowy hill from Sparkle cardstock using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies. Probably my most used die set ever.

The elements for the birdhouse were die cut from the following cardstocks: Woodgrain, Sparkle, Chili Pepper, Chocolate Bar, Rainforest and Black Licorice.

I stamped the images from Winter Birds and colored them (and the die cut string of lights) with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors:
Lights: Y15 - Y17 - YR16
Birds: R27 - R59/ Y17 - YR16/ W5 - W7
Chicks: Y17 - YR16/ E74 - E79
Scarfs: BG15 - BG18

I die cut all the images and assembled the card. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a banner which was die cut from Chili Pepper cardstock. I added highlights to the images as a finishing touch.

From No. 2 Pencil cardstock, I die cut the Grassy Border twice. I ink blended the top edges with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the images and colored everything with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used for this card:
Tractor: W5 - W7/ C0 - C3/ R08 - R27/ R46 - R59

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (19)

Today my card is featured on the Lawn Fawn blog and I decided to use their new Halloween die: Spooky Forest Backdrop. I love this die, it's so easy to create a cool scene with this die set. And Halloween/ fall cards are probably my favorite to create.

For the sky I used some purple Distress Oxide Inks: Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion.

I die cut the Spooky Forest Backdrop from Woodgrain cardstock. I also die cut a Grassy Border from Cilantro Cardstock. I ink blended the grass with Lucky Clover Distress Ink.

The rest of the elements were all die cut from white cardstock. I wanted to color them with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used:
Moon: Y15 - Y17
Owl: W7/ E71 - E74 - E79/ Y15 - Y17
Tombstones: C0 - C2 - C3/ C3 - C5 - C7
Rocks: W3 - W5 - W7
Grass; YG06 - G07
Ghosts: W0 - W2/ W7

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in the middle of the background, using white embossing powder. I assembled the card and used a white gel pen to add some highlights here and there.

YOU'RE THE BERRIE BEST (5)

I'm on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog today with this cool encouragment card, using the Build-a-Drink and Build-a-Drink Cocktail Add-On die sets. I also used Berry Patch and Zesty Lemon die sets.

We have a color inspiration board this time, so I had to use these colors: raspberry, celery stick, No 2. Pencil, Sage Leaf and Juice Box.

For the purple, I used some Watercolor Wishes pattern paper. The other colors were added to the die cuts. I colored all the die cuts with Copic Markers. Here are all the colors I used;
Glasses: R35 - R37 - R39/ Y15 - Y17/ BG000 - B00
Lemons: Y15 - Y17
Strawberries: R35 - R37 - R39/ YG00 - YG03
Leaves: G82 - G85
Straws: YG00 - YG03
Pick: E31 - E33 - E35/ G82 - G85

I added a strip of Woodgrain cardstock to the bottom of the Watercolor Wishes paper. I assembled the cocktails and the fruits and added everything to the background.

I stamped the sentiment and added highlights with a white gel pen.

GIFT TAGS (7)

On the Lawn Fawnatics Blog is a new challenge live. And it's a color inspiration board. The colors are celery stick, raspberry, sage leaf, no. 2 pencil and juice box. The image you can be inspired by is a leaf image in these colors. I was inspired by both while creating these simple gift tags.

I used the Scalloped Circle Gift Tag die set. I die cut the base from Raspberry cardstock. The circle was die cut from Vanilla Malt cardstock.

I wanted to stamp some fall leaves onto the Vanilla Malt circle, in Celery Stick, Sage Leaf, Juice Box and No. 2 Pencil inks. Because I don't have the Raspberry ink, I used this color for the base cardstock of the tags.

The leaves I stamped are from the Jump for Joy stamp set and I stamped a cute little pattern. I assembed the tags and used some twine. On the back of the tag, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
