YOU ARE SUBLIME (1)

For this encouragement card, I used the You are Sublime stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started on the background. First I took Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and blended the complete panel. I then added Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress inks towards the bottom. I added water drops and dabbed them off with a paper towel.

I wanted to create the illusion of rays of sun shining into the water. I took the Radiating Rays stencil from My Favorite Things and applied Yeti Ink through the stencil onto the panel. I pounced the ink onto the paper. When I removed the stencil, I buffed off the excess ink, to create a softer look.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment towards the top of the card, using white embossing powder from Ranger.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Submarine: Y02 - Y06 - Y08/ C2 - C3/ B00
Lanterfish: V01 - V12/ Y17
Eal: YG41 - G02/ Y02 - Y06 - Y08
Big fish: R01 - R22/ Y38 - YR07
Little fish: C0 - C3
Seaweed + corals: G06 - G17/ R22 - R35/ YR000 - YR02
Rocks: E53 - E55

I fussy cut the images and started assembling the card. I adhered the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase and added some highlights and dots with a white gelly roll pen. As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Pale Periwinkle. It looks like bubbles.

I just love creating underwater scenes.
