BELIEVE, AND YOU CAN DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING (1)
I created this encouragement card with the Bookworm stamp set from Mama Elephant.
For the background I used simple white cardstock. I used a scoring board and a bone folder to add stripes to the background. It's a simple technique, which I should use more often. And it looks really good.
I wanted the characters to sit on a shelve of some sorts, and I created this with Moonstone cardstock.
I stamped the images and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
220 - Tea Rose + 076 - Medium Beige
024 - Wine Red
042 - Turquoise Green + 049 - Green Shadow
055 - Pale Yellow + 050 - Yellow
083 - Lilac + 806 - Pale Violet
026 - Light Pink
072 - Beige
091 - Grey
045 - Pale Green
I fussy cut the images and added them to my panel. I also die cut a speech bubble from Spiffy Speckles paper, using the Speech Bubbles die set. I stamped the sentiment onto it. It's from the Dragon Wishes stamp set.
I really like the background and I haven't used Zig Markers other then no-line coloring in a while. I'm happy with this look.

I CARROT 'BOUT YOU (2)
It's been a while since I used the Magic Picture Changer die from Lawn Fawn. Today I used it together with the Some Bunny stamp set.
I die cut the Magic Picture Changer Elements from Sticky Note cardstock. On only one of them I stamped two carrots from the Rooting For You stamp set. I used Spiced Marmalade and Lucky Clover Oxide Inks. The other piece of the the Magic Picture Changer I will leace blank, so it looks like the bunny started a blank canvas and painted carrots.
For the background and the front of the Magic Picture Changers, I used Spiffy Speckles paper. For the 'floor', I used Kraft cardstock. I stamped the Woodgrain Backdrops stamp onto it, in Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also ink blended the edges a little bit with the same color. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto this piece.
For the frame arount eh 'painting', I used Paper Bag cardstock. For the string and nail, I used Stormcloud and Fake Tan cardstock. Fake Tan and No. 2 Pencil cardstocks were used for the tab to pull.
I stamped the images and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
090 - Grey + 091 - Light Grey
044 - Deep Green + 041 - Light Green
050 - Yellow
070 - Orange
062 - Dark Brown
072 - Beige
230 - Pale Rose
I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Kraft carbase.
I had this idea in my head, but it turned different than I had inteded. But I'm very happy with the result!

GIFT TAGS (2)
For the newest Lawn Fawanatics challenge we got a really cool theme: "For the Birds". So look through your bird stamps and create cute projects with them. I used the new Stud Puffin stamp set and made some gift tags, using the Heart Shaker Tag Die set.
For the background of the tags, I used Spiffy Speckles paper. For the frame I used either Guava cardstock or No. 2 Pencil cardstock. For the topper, I used Vanilla Malt cardstock.
I stamped the Puffins and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Puffins: W5 - W7/ W0 - W3/ Y38 - YR68
I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug.
I assembled the tags and stamped the sentiments onto them in Hippo Ink. I used sentiments from the Love Poems stamp set and took a different one for each tag. They can be used for all different occasions.
I added some twine to the tops and adhered the puffins to each tag.
Either for a birthday, Valentine's Day, Father's/ Mother's Day, for a friend, you name it. They can be used for all sorts of festivities.

YOU'RE O-FISH-ALLY AWESOME (2)
For this friendship card, I did some no-line watercoloring. I used the Dad + Me stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
I started to create all the elements for my scene. For the sky, I ink blended some Broken China Oxide Ink. Simple, with a light hand.
I die cut some grass, using the Simple Grassy Hillside Borders and the Grassy Border die. I ink blended with Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. From Fog cardstock, I die cut mountains, using the Stitched Mountain Borders die set. I added snowcaps to them.
I started by stamping all the solid images in the set. The puddle of water I stamped with Forget-Me-Not Ink and Moonstone Ink. The cat tails were stamped in Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks and Doe Ink. For the little rocks I used Manatee Ink and Hippo Ink. I used Fresh Lavender Ink and Grape Soda Ink for the dragonflies.
The images I will color were stamped in Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for coloring. Here are the colors I used:
062 - Dark Brown + 072 Beige + 076 - Medium Beige
090 - Grey + 091 - Light Grey
092 - Blue Grey
043 - Olive Green
021 - Light Carmine
052 - Bright Yellow + 050 - Yellow
I fussy cut all the images (a lot of little details...) and started to assemble the card. I stamped the sentiment in Hippo ink and also added some trails behind the dragonflies, using Manatee Ink.
I'm so happy with this no-line coloring card, with the soft colors and how the scene turned out.

SEALED WITH A KISS (3)
For this love themed card, I used the Sealed with a Kiss stamp set, together with the new Stud Puffin stamp set. All products are from Lawn Fawn.
For the background, I used the Ray stencil from Tim Holtz. I first applied some Squeezed Lemonade Oxide Ink without the stencil and then added Spiced Marmalade Oxide Ink through the stencil. Eventually I muted the colors with Squeezed Lemonade again.
I used the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders for the ocean and die cut two from Mermaid cardstock. I ink blended the tops with Broken China Oxide Ink. For the beach, I used the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and Paper Bag cardstock. I splattered some Chinese White watercolor onto it.
I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Puffins: W5 - W7/ W0 - W3/ YR16 - YR68
Seals: W0 - W3
Fish: Y15 - Y17/ YR16 - YR68
Rocks: C0 - C2 - C3 - C5
Grass: G43 - G46
Hearts: R14 - R46 - R59
Starfish: R14 - R46
I die cut or fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped the sentiment and added some highlights and dots to the images using a white gelly roll pen.
It is love themed, but it could also be a friendship card or a card for your mom or dad.

YOU'RE THE CREAM TO MY COFFEE (1)
For this Valentine's card, I used products from different companies. My central product is the Cocoa Cups die set from My Favorite Things.
I wanted a glitter background. I used a stencil from Reverse Confetti, the Hearts stencil. I taped it to a piece of Chili Pepper cardstock, and took my Versamark ink pad. I applied it to the paper, through the stencil. I added Ruby Romance embossing powder from Wow to it and heat embossed it. It looks super sparkly.
The cups were die cut from Guava cardstock and Fog cardstock. I ink blended with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. For the cream, I used Vanilla Malt cardstock and Antique Linen Distress Ink. I also used the Hearts dies from Lawn Fawn, which I die cut from Chili Pepper cardstock and ink blended with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
I die cut a frame from the embossed background, using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames. I also die cut this frame from Black Licorice cardstock. I added the background and the frame onto a Fog cardbase.
I die cut a Speech Bubble from the die set from Lawn Fawn with the same name. I used Fog cardstock for this. I stamped the sentiment onto it and also smiley faces onto the mugs. I added eveything to the card and used a white gelly roll pen for some highlights.
I just love this background technique and I don't use it often enough. It's so easy and it looks fabulous!

INSTEAD OF TEXTING, I MADE THIS CARD (3)
Today is the first new Lawn Fawnatics challenge of the year and the theme is very cool: "Something Old, Something New". I used the new Just My Type stamp set and Love Poems stamp set, together with the older Love Letters stamp set.
For the background I used the Spiffy Speckles paper and I added a strip of Raspberry cardstock to the bottom of the piece.
I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Mice: E41 - E43/ E71 - E74/ RV10
Birds: YG41 - G02/ YR21 - Y38
Typewriter: BG18 - BG72/ C0 - C5/ YG41 - G02
Lamp: YR21 - Y38/ Y06/ C05
Envelope: YR21 - Y38/ R22 - R35
I fussy cut and die cut the images. I stamped a sentiment onto the paper coming out of the typewriter. I added everything to my background and stamped my central sentiment. I added some highlights with my white gelly roll pen.
It's super fun to combine old and new sets. And Lawn Fawn does it like no other.

KEEP SWIMMING (5)
I created a one layered, simple ocean themed card, using the Ocean Fun stamp set from My Favorite Things.
For the background I used Moonstone cardstock and ink blended some Broken China Oxide Ink onto it. I used the Drifts & Hills stencil to add waves to the background.
I took the Rays stencil from Tim Holtz and Yeti Ink from Lawn Fawn. I added rays to the top of the background, to make it look like the sun shines above the ocean and rays are coming down into the water.
I stamped the sea creatures, all in Lawn Fawn Inks. I used two ink color for eacht critter, to give them more dimension Here are the inks I used:
Sword fish: Manatee Ink + Hippo Ink
Top jelly fish: Fresh Lavender Ink + Grape Soda Ink
Bottom jelly fish: Grape Soda Ink + Sugarplum Ink
Yellow fish: Butter Ink + Sunflower Ink
Orange fish: Moonstone Ink + Forget-Me-Not Ink
Blue fish: Carrot Ink + Pupkin Spice Ink
I added eyes to all the fish and fussy cut them. I stamped the solid schools of fish to the background, in Soot Ink. I also used this color for the sentiment. I adhered the fish with foam tape. The bubbles were stamped in Moonstone Ink.
I adhered the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase.
Really simple, but I sometimes like doing that kind of card.
