CARD SET: WILD FOR YOU (2)

I created this set of three cards with one stamp set, the Wild For You set from Lawn Fawn.

I wanted to use the Perfectly Plaid Spring paper. A different pattern for each card. I also used some Lawn Fawn dies to die cut other elements for the cards, that I die cut from either white cardstock or Peacock cardstock. I used the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders, Stitched Borders and Puffy Cloud Borders.

I stamped all the images, some more than onces. I also used the balloons and some party hats from Party Animal. I colored all the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Giraffe: Y08 - Y38/ E57 - E29/ E11 - E21
Lion: E53 - E55/ E57 - E29
Elephants: C3 - C5
Crocodile: YG63/ BG96
Mouse: C0 - C3
Balloons + party hats: Y00 - Y02/ BG23 - BG49/ B12 - B14

I assembled the cards, stamped the sentiments and added the panels onto either a Cilantro cardbase or a Peacock cardbase. As a finishing touch I added some white highlights or dot with a white gelly roll pen.

Such a fun way to create a card set, three different designs but the same color pallette and stamp set.

CRAFTY HAUL (21)

These crafty products I picked up over the month of April. Super cool stuff all!

From My Favorite Things, I got to stamp sets with a same theme and that would really work well together. Rain and Shine is the one with the girl, Puddle Jumper the one with the boy. I just love these rain themed images and those little ducklings are so adorable.

I got some cool dies. The Kingdom Trio die from Mama Elephant has some great scene builders. To create mountains, a kingdom and some ground for images to stand on. I got the Congrats die from My Favorite Things and the Birthday Script die from Mama Elephant. I really needed to have some word dies, don't own many yet.

I'm a huge fan of Distress Inks and I use them a lot. Whenever I create a scene on a card, I almost always use them. Since Tim Holtz came out with the Distress Oxide Inks, I was really curious about them. One of my favorite online crafty stores had a sale on inks, so I decided to pick up some Distress Oxide Ink colors. I picked three colors that I use a lot in the Distress Ink line.

Sometimes fellow crafters sell their craty supplies online for a good price. I picked up this Tiny Gift Box die from Lawn Fawn.

I have a bunch Nuvo Crystal Drops already, but it was time for some new colors. I got Buttermilk, Midnight Blue, Autumn Red, Neptune Turquoise, Pale Periwinkle and Ripened Pumpkin. I can't wait to try these colors on my cards.

The stamp sets I was looking forward to receiving the most, are these dragon sets from Mama Elephant. They reminded me of Game of Thrones, which I LOVE! It's Me and My Dragon and Dragon Wishes. And they work perfectly with the Kingdom Trio die set.

SMILE (1)

For this clean and simple card, I used the For You, Deer stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I trimmed a piece of Gotta Have Gingham paper and a piece of watercolor cardstock. I blended some Tattered Rose Distress Ink onto the cardstock. Very soft. I adhered the gingham paper overtop of that cardstock.

I stamped the bear images and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bear: C0 - C3/ RV10

I die cut the image with my Cuttlebug. I also die cut a speech bubble with the Speech Bubbles die. I used white cardstock, but added some Narwhal cardstock onto the back.

I assembled the card, added the panel onto a Narwhal cardbase and rounded off the two bottom corners.

REACH FOR THE STARS (1)

For this card I used the Out of This World stamp set. I was in the mood for a lot of bold colors, so are you ready?

I wanted to create a background out of stamped and Copic colored images. Here are the colors I used for the background:
Y38 - YR15/ V06 - V09/ BG23 - BG49/ R22 - R35

For the astronaut I used: E21 - E11/ E29 - E57/ C0 - C2/ C5/ Y38 - YR15/ BG23 - BG49

I fussy cut the astronaut. I stamped a banner and used Wild Rose Ink and Grape Soda Ink for the insides. The sentiment is from Upon a Star. I fussy cut the banner as well.

I die cut a circle from Vellum, using the Zig Zag Circle Stackables and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Peacock cardbase and rounded off the bottom corners.

I'm mostly of the softer and pastelle colors, but every once in a while it's fun to go a little wild.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (30)

Time for a more elegant birthday card. And the Bold Blossom stamp set from Altenew is perfect for that.

I stamped the flower and the greenery onto white cardstock, just the outlined ones. Because instead of stamp layering, I wanted to color them with Copic Markers for a change. Here are the colors I used:
Rose: RV10 - R83
Greenery: YG11 - G21

I fussy cut the images. I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper, from the Let's Polka in the Dark paper pack. And also a piece of white carsdtock. I adhered both pieces onto a Guava cardbase. I assembled the card.

I stamped the sentiment, from Bits & Pieces by Concord & 9th, in Ballet Slippers Ink. As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Bubblegum Blush.

OUR FRIENDSHIP IS WRITTEN IN THE STARS (2)

For this friendship card, I used the Upon a Star stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting some clouds, with the Puffy Cloud Borders. One border I die cut from white cardstock and the other from vellum. I stamped the sentiment onto the white border, with Hippo Ink.

For the background, I stamped all the stars and constellations and heat embossed them with white embossing powder from Ranger. I blended the background with Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I used a light hand on the Picked Raspberry, because I didn't want the pink to be too bright.

I stamped the fox and rabbit and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Fox: E08 - E18/ E11 - E00
Bunny: C0 - C2

I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Guava cardbase and added some dots and highlights to the bynny and fox.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (29)

Another card with my favorite Lawn Fawn set, Happy Harvest. It's a long way untill autumn starts, but I was in the mood to create a card with this set.

I started by die cutting a cirle from Sticky Note cardstock, with the Small Stitched Circle Stackables. From Chocolate Bar cardstock I die cut another circle, using the Zig Zag Circle Stackables. I layered them together.

I stamped the images. The corn stalks I stamped in Doe Ink. The rest I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Sunflowers: Y00 - Y06/ E29 - E57/ YG63 - YG67
Pumpkins: Y38 - YR16 - YR07/ YG63 - YG67
Scarecrow: E53 - E55/ E29 - E57/ Y38 - YR16 - YR07/ R46 - R59/ YG63 - YG67

I fussy cut the images. I stamped a banner, from Bannertastic. I used two Lawn Fawn Ink for the solid insides: Carrot Ink and Pumpkin Spice Ink. I fussy cut the banner as well.

I adhered everything onto a piece of Gotta Have Gingham paper and added the panel onto a Vanilla Malt cardbase. I added some white highlights and dots here and there.

Very happy with this card!

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment three times, using white embossing powder from Ranger. The cardstocks I used are from Lawn Fawn: Guava, Peacock and Sunflower.

THANK YOU (3)

I wanted to create a one-layer card. I used the In Bloom stamp set from My Favorite Things and the Thank You Wishes set from Mama Elephant.

I first stamped the big sentiment, with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Then I stamped all the flowers around the sentiment. I used my Tonic Studios Stamping Platform, perfect when you have to stamp solid stamps and want to do stamp layering. The inks I used are all from Lawn Fawn. Here are the combinations I used for all teh flowers:
Sunflower Ink, Carrot Ink, Pumpkin SPice Ink, Lobster Ink
Celery Stick Ink, Freshly Cut Grass Ink, Moonstone Ink, Forget-Me-Not Ink
Butter Ink, Sunflower Ink, Carrot Ink, Pumpkin Spice Ink

I wanted to use a color pallette using not too many colors. I wanted a spring colored card.

I added the panel onto a Sticky Note cardbase and rounded off the top and bottom right corner.

I took some Nuvo Crystal Drops to add as finishing touches. I used three colors: Dandelion Yello, Apple Green and Silver Moondust.

I normally use a lot of layers on my cards, so it was kind of fun to create a one-layer card for once.

YOU'RE SEW AMAZING (2)

For this friendship card, I decided to use Sewn With Love, a Lawn Fawn set I haven’t used in a while.

I started by trimming down a piece of Gotta Have Gingham paper, a piece of Paper Bag cardstock and a piece of Vanilla Malt cardstock. This is going to function as my base and background.

I stamped all the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Sewing machine: C0 – C3/ C3 – C5/ R22 – R35
Pin cushion: R22 – R35/ YR30 – YR31/ V91 – V95
Scissors: V91 – V95/ C0 – C3
Spools: E53 – E55/ BG34 – BG49/ YR30 – YR31
Thimble: C0 – C3
Jar: BG000/ C0 – C3/ YR30 – YR31
Buttons: BG34 – BG49/ R22 – R35/ V91 – V95

I die cut all the images with my Cuttlebug and started assembling the card. I stamped the sentiment in two parts. The word ‘sew’ I stamped in Wild Rose Ink and die cut it. The rest of the sentiment I stamped in Peacock Ink.

I adhered the panel onto a piece of Peacock cardbase.

This was a card that just happened. Never had the intention of making it, the idea just came to me all of a sudden. So cool!!!

SOME BUNNY LOVES YOU (1)

For this love themed card, I used the Some Bunny stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I trimmed a piece of Perfectly Plaid Spring paper. This is going to be part of my background. I also trimmed a piece of white cardstock, to the same size. I die cut some scalloped circles from it, using the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables. I adhered on top of the plaid paper.

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bunnies: C0 – C3/ RV10 – R83
Carrots: Y38 – YR04/ YG61 – YG63
Watering can : Y00 – Y02
Flowers: Y00 – Y02/ Y38 – YR04/ RV10 – R83

For the water coming from the watering can, I used Forget-Me-Not Ink

I fussy cut all the images and started assembling the card. I stamped the sentiment in Carrot Ink and adhered the panel onto a Ballet Slippers cardbase. I added some highlight and dots with a white gelpen.
