HAVE A MAGICAL HOLIDAY SEASON (1)

I used the Winter Unicorn mini set from Lawn Fawn to create this very simple holiday card.

I started by trimming a rectangle of blue/ green cardstock and added it to a piece of pattern paper from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pack from Lawn Fawn. I die cut a cloudy border with the Puffy Cloud Borders from Lawn Fawn. On this cloud I stamped the sentiment in Merman Ink and Wild Rose Ink from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from the Merry Messages stamp set, also from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the unicorn and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Unicorn: C0 -C2
Hair + hoofs: R22 – R35
Scarf: BG23 – BG49
Horn: Y11 – Y02

I fussy cut the image and added it to the panel, with foam tape. I found it was missing something so I stamped a star, multiple times, with Versamark Ink. I heat embossed them with Silver Embossing Powder from Ranger. As a finishing touch I added some glitter to the hair, horn, scarf and hoofs with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

I real simple card, but so very cute!

JUMP FOR JOY, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY (3)

My mom asked me if I could make a birthday card for a friend turning 50. Here is what I came up with. I used the You Gnome Me stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started by stamping all the images. I stamped the jumping gnome, the big mushroom, the little mushroom (3 times) and the two snails. I colored all the images with Copic Markers.
Gnome: E00 – E02
Beard: C0 – C2
Shirt + shoes: E25 – E29
Hat + pants: R22 – R29
Belt buckle: Y08
Mushrooms: E41 – E43/ R46 – R59
Snails: BG93 – BG96/ Y08 – Y38

I fussy cut all the images and went over to my background. I die cut a rectangle, using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I colored the background using Distress Inks and my mini ink blending tool. I used two colors: Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral. I also die cut to grass border, with the Meadow Borders dies from Lawn Fawn. Those I colored using Brushed Corduroy and Scattered Straw Distress Inks.

I adhered everything together and added the panel to a piece of pattern paper, from the Perfectly Plaid Fall paper pad from Lawn Fawn. The entire panel was adhered to a red cardbase.

I stamped the sentiment and added some glitter to the hat with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

A SPECIAL DELIVERY OF WISHES FOR A VERY MERRY CHRISTMOOSE (1)

I used the Merry Christmoose stamp set from My Favorite Things to create his cozy Christmas card.

I stamped the moose, the Christmas tree, the pillows and the rug onto white cardstock. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Moose: E25 – E29
Antlers: E41 – E43
Sweater: R46 – R59
Mug: C0 – C2
Pants: C2 – C5
Hat: C2 – C5/ G05 – G17
Shoes: G05 – G17
Tree: G28 – G05
Star: Y08 – Y17
Pot: E41 – E43
Rug: Y08 – Y17/ C0 – C2
Pillows: Y08 – Y17/ R46 – R59/ C2 – C5

I fussy cut all the images and went over to my background. I didn’t want a stark white background, but I wanted a subtle background. I took the Small Brick Wall stencil from My Favorite Things and Fired Brick Distress Ink and blended the ink onto the paper with the mini ink blending tool, through the stencil. I also used a light hand for the floor portion of the card. Here I used Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment with Hippo Ink from Lawn Fawn and added the images to the card panel. I adhered the moose and tree with foam tape, the rest flat. I added some glitter to the sweater and the heart on the pillow, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I adhered the panel to some pattern paper, from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pack from Lawn Fawn. I added it to a dark yellow cardbase and the card is done.

SEASON'S GREETINGS (2)

I got lots of new supplies for my birthday and I didn’t know where to start. But for the Home for the Holidays mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I had a clear idea. So that’s the set that I started with.

I wanted to create a slider card, so a card where it looks like the car is actually driving. I started by cutting two hills, with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn. I die cut one from grey cardstock, this is going to be the road. The other hill I die cut from white cardstock, this is a snowy hill. I trimmed a rectangle from some blue cardstock, to function as the base and the sky of the scene.

I used one of the dies from the Slide On Over set, from Lawn Fawn, to create a slider element for the car to slide on.

I went over to the coloring. I stamped the car, the presents and also the tree. The tree I stamped six times, with two different Lawn Fawn inks. I used Noble Fir Ink and Freshly Cut Grass Ink. The other images I colored with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Car: R14 – R46 – R59
Tires + exhaust pipe: C2 – C5
Windows: B00
Light: YR16
Presents: BG93 – BG95/ BG23 – BG49/ Y17 – YR17

I fussy cut the images, stamped the sentiment onto the snowy hill with Cranberry Ink from Lawn Fawn and started assembling the card. For the slider part of the card, I used three layers of foam tape for the car to have enough room to slide.

I adhered the panel onto a blue cardbase, added some glitter to the car with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and done is this Christmas slider card.

CRAFTY HAUL (7)

My parents and friends know me so well. For my birthday on October 7th they got me some amazing new craft supplies. Here they are!

The So Smooth stamp set from Lawn Fawn is so cool. I can make very colorful and happy cards with this set and I'm already thinking about a shaker card I can create.

The mini set So Jelly from Lawn Fawn, is perfect to combine with some other under water sets I have. Like the Fintastic Friends or Mermaid For You stamps.

The same goes for the Year Six mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn. But it can also be used on its own and I can already see some beautiful pastel pinks and purples.

The Year Four stamp set is so cute, with the hippo and the bird. And I think that sentiment, with the double pun, is just fabulous.

The Believe in Yourself set from Lawn Fawn showcases a Jackalope, an animal from a fabel I believe. It's such an original and creative mini set. Can't wait to craft some encouragement cards with this set.

I got the Merry Christmoose set from My Favorite Things. This is one of those Christmas stamp sets that I already have a ton of ideas for. The moose is too cute and I love that little mug. I can create some cozy Christmas scenes with this set.

For some starry Christmas cards I can use this Shooting Star die from Lawn Fawn. I already have the Simple Puffy Clouds and the Sun and Moon dies, so this is a perfect addition to my collection.

The Tonic Paper Trimmer from Tim Holtz goes through paper like a knife through butter. It's so easy to use and it cuts so well. And it doesn't take up any space at all.

The mini set Home for the Holidays from Lawn Fawn is something new I didn't have yet. Mostly I have critters, but this car could be perfect for so many scenes.

The Winter Unicorn mini set is just too cute, but the sentiment may be even cuter.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here, but this Cutie Pie stamp set from Lawn Fawn can work for so many other occassions. I love how I can add faces to the pie as well.

I got four new Lawn Fawn Ink as well: Merman (already had Mermaid), Cranberry (perfect for Christmas), Hippo and Freshly Cut Grass.

The Meadow Borders die set from Lawn Fawn is perfect for spring and summer themed cards. They have to wait a little, but it's a great die set.

Finally I got the Merry Messages from Lawn Fawn. It has so many fantastic sentiments, this way I can change it up a bit. Most Christmas cards just say 'Merry Christmas' or something like that. These sentiments on this set are just too much for me to handle.

 

SEASON'S GREETINGS (1)

I got this Swanky Snow Dudes stamp set from Paper Smooches second hand from a retired paper crafter. I could finally create a Christmas card with these cool snowmen.

I stamped all four snowmen and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Snowmen: C0 – C2 – Blender
Accessories: BG93 – BG95/ R14 – R46
Carrot nose: YR16
Buttons: C5
BirdL E00 – E11

I fussy cut all the images and went over to my scene. I cut a rectangle from some light blue cardstock. This is going to be my base and the sky of the scene. I die cut three hills, with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn, from white cardstock. This way I can create some snowy hills for the snowmen to stand on.

I adhered the top hill flat and the bottom two hills with foam tape. I adhered the snowmen and the bird, some flat some with foam tape, some with both. I stamped the sentiment with Lobster Ink from Lawn Fawn. I added the panel to a white cardbase and done is another Christmas card.

HAPPY HARVEST (1)

I wanted to create some fall spirit and I made two cute pumpkins. Very simple. I made this project for the Lawnscaping Challenge, where we had to create a project based on a fall themed mood board.

I started by die cutting circles from orange cardstock. I used the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I die cut nine circles for one pumpkin. Every circle I folded in half and I cut the two edges off. This way the pumpkin can stand.

I put double sided tape on one side of the folded circle and adhered it to another folded circle. I continued this action until I put them all together. The last folded circle has to be adhered on both sides, to close and create the pumpkin.

For the stem in the middle, I used a cinnamon stick. I just places it in the middle of the pumpkin. I die cut one more circle, from green cardstock and with a smaller circle die, and folded this as well. This one I used as a leaf and adhered on top of the pumpkin.

For the second pumpkin, I used a smaller circle die and a darker shade of orange cardstock.

I wanted to add a small sentiment tag to it and die cut yet another circle. This time from white cardstock. I added it to a green scalloped shape, that I die cut with the Scalloped Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. I adhered them together.

I stamped the two pumpkin images from the Happy Harvest stamp set, from Lawn Fawn. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Pumpkins: Y38 – YR04 – YR07/ E25
Ground: C2 – C0

I stamped the sentiment with Pumpkin Spice Ink from Lawn Fawn, fussy cut the images and adhered the pumpkins to the tag, with foam tape.
