THANKS, YOU'RE SO SWEET (1)

I combined a bunch of sets to create this sweet thank you card.

I stamped the jar from the Summertime Charm stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Inside I stamped the cookie from Smart Cookie, several times. I also stamped a couple of times separately. To one of them I added a smiley face. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Cookies: E25 – E29
Jar: BG000

I fussy cut the images and went over to my sentiment. I die cut the word thanks, with the Thanks Word die from Paper Smooches, twice. I used blue colored cardstock to match the jar. I adhered the two die cuts together with stick-it adhesive and added it to a white cardbase. I stamped the sentiment in Doe Ink, from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from the Sweet Smiles set, also from Lawn Fawn.

I adhered the jar and the cookies onto the card with foam tape. As a finishing touch I added glitter to the word thanks, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I also rounded of the bottom right corner, with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

The card turned out exactly how I pictured it. I love when that happens!

SENDING WARM WISHES FOR A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON (3)

I created a Christmas card with the Merry Christmoose stamps from My Favorite Things. I used the three sock images.

I die cut a circle from a piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment. I took a sentiment from the Merry Messages stamp set from Lawn Fawn and used Manatee Ink, also from Lawn Fawn.

I took a piece of watercolor cardstock and drew a circle on it. This is my guide on where to stamp my images. I took the three socks from the set and stamped them repeatedly onto the paper, with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Perfect ink for watercoloring.

I decided to used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images. It’s been a while. Here are the colors I used:
022 Carmine Red
041 Light Green
040 Green
091 Light Grey
090 Grey

I adhered the watercolor panel to the panel with the die cut circle and used foam tape for that. I added it to a white cardbase.

A very simple card, but fun to use my watercolor markers again.

WITH SYMPATHY (1)

Unfortunately we also have to send sympathy cards every once in a while. I came to the conclusion that sympathy cards are very difficult to make. But the Painted Flowers stamp set from Altenew is perfect for such an occasion. Most Altenew sets are by the way.

I first drew a circle onto a square piece of white cardstock. This was my guide for stamping the flowers. It’s a layering set, where you stamp one image on top of another, to create a more dimensional and realistic look. I used Lawn Fawn Inks for stamping the flowers. Here are the colors I used:
Blue flowers: Mermaid Ink and Fish Tank Ink
Purple flowers: Fresh Lavender Ink and Sugarplum Ink
Leaves: Freshly Cut Grass Ink and Noble Fir Ink

I added the black outlines and also filled the panel with some little outlined leaves and solid leaves.

I added the sentiment, from the Oh Happy Day stamp set from Avery Elle, and stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It’s an ink that stays wet longer, so it’s perfect for heat embossing. I added Clear Gloss Embossing Powder from Wow to it and heat set it. This way the sentiment is shiny and it really stands out between those flowers.

As a finishing touch I added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and adhered the panel to a purple cardbase with foam tape. I rounded off the top right corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

I didn’t need this sympathy card, luckily. But it’s always good to have them on hand.

HI CUTIE PIE (1)

For my birthday I got so many great craft supplies. This mini stamp set, Cutie Pie, from Lawn Fawn, was one of them. I hadn’t used it yet, but I got a great fall-themed card in mind.

I started by stamping the pie and coloring it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Pie: E57 -E29
Baking tray: R22 – R35

I fussy cut the image out and went over to the card panel. I trimmed a dark yellow cardbase and a strip of Perfpectly Plaid Fall paper, from the 6x6 Lawn Fawn Paper Pad. I die cut a circle from that same yellow cardstock, using the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I also die cut a scalloped circle from red cardstock, using the Scalloped Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn.

I adhered the circle and scalloped circle together and added the pie onto it. The pie was adhered with foam tape. I stamped the little swirly lines above the pie, to make it look like a warm pie coming out of the oven. I adhered the strip of plaid paper to the yellow cardbase and then adhered the scalloped circle, circle and pie onto it with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock, using Wild Rose Ink from Lawn Fawn. I added it to the card with foam tape. I added some glitter to the baking tray with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

It can be send to a friend, a loved one or your spouse. But it is a cute card!

HAPPY BEAR-THDAY (1)

At the craft fair I attented a while ago, I bought this Beary Special Birthday stamp set from My Favorite Things (okay, it was actually a gift from my mom). I decided to create a super simple birthday card with one of the images.

I stamped the bear holding the cake and colored him with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bear: E25 – E29/ E43
Ears: RV10
Cake: E41 – E43
Frosting: YR61 – YR02
Candles: C0/ Y38
Plate: C5

I fussy cut the image and went over to the background. I die cut a base, with the Stitched Squre Scallop Frames from My Favorite Things. I adhered the frame and inside together, this way it’s easier to add them to my cardbase later. From that die cut square, I die cut a circle with the Double Stitched Circle STAX, also from My Favorite Things. I die cut another, bigger, circle from watercolor cardstock. This is going to be inside the other die cut circle. I took the Funky Florals stencil and applied Distress Ink colors onto it with a blending tool. I used Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade.

I trimmed a square that is bigger than the scallop frame square, from the same white cardstock. I adhered the stenciled circle flat into it. Then I adhered the square with the circle frame onto it, with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the bear image with foam tape. I added some glitter to the stenciled background, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

I adhered the entire panel to a dark yellow cardbase.

MANY THANKS (2)

For this fall themed card, I used the happy Harvest stamp set and the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape die from Lawn Fawn together.

I started with all the die cutting. I die cut the tree backdrop from brown cardstock, the backdrop leaves from orange cardstock and the separate leaves from red cardstock. I die cut a hill, with the Stitched Hillside Borders, and a grass border, with the Meadow Borders. Both those dies are also from Lawn Fawn. I colored these two die cut borders with Distress Inks. For the hill I used Mustard Seed and for the grass Fired Brick. For the sky I used four orange/ yellow Distress Inks. I used Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Carved Pumpkin.
I stamped the sentiment onto the hill and adhered all the layers together flat.

I stamped the scarecrow, one of the crows and the two pumpkins. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Pumpkins: YR15 – YR16 – YR07 – E08/ G28
Crow: W5 – W7
Beak: YR16
Face scarecrow: E00 – E11 Nose: E77
Pants: B23 – B93
Buttons: E77
Sweater: R22 – R35
Hat: E71 – E77/ R22 – R35
Straw: E35 br /> Stake: E25 – E29

I fussy cut the images and assembled the scene. I just love this fall scene and all those pretty colors. The Happy Harvest stamp set is amazing!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (12)

I wanted to create a colorful birthday card for a change. I used the Monster Mash stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting a rectangle, with the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I cut a strip of pattern paper, from the Let’s Polka in the Meadow paper collection from Lawn Fawn. I adhered it to the bottom of the rectangle.

I stamped the images from the set and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Red monster: R14 – R17 – R46/ R59
Green monster: YG11 – G21/ BG93
Blue monster: BG01 – BV05/ B28
Balloons: R14 – R17 – R46/ YG11 – G21/ BG01 – BV05
Party Hats: BV05 – YG11 – R35

I fussy cut all the images and started to assemble my card. I adhered the monsters to the pael with foam tape, as well as the balloons.

The background was a little too plain, so I added some little details to it. I took the star and two dots from the Snow Cool stamp set, also from Lawn Fawn. I used four Lawn Fawn Inks, being Freshly Cut Grass Ink, Fish Tank Ink, Lobster Ink and Sunflower Ink. I added the sentiment to it, which is from the Year Four stamp set.

I added the panel to a red cardbase and done is this fun monster party!!!

SENDING YOU WARM HUGS (2)

I made another Christmas card using the Hot Cocoa Cups die set from My Favorite Things.

I started by die cutting a rectangle from Kraft cardstock, with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. I die cut the images from the Hot Cocoa Cups set. The two cups I die cut from red cardstock. The marshmallows, whipped cream, heart and wavy lines I die cut from white cardstock. The hot chocolate inside the mugs I die cut from brown cardstock. I also die cut a heart from one of the cups. This is going to be a shaker mug.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Ruby Romance Embossing Powder from Wow. I added glitter to all the white elements on the card, with the pectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I then added the panel to a some plaid paper, from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper collection from Lawn Fawn.

YOU'RE A PURRFECT FRIEND (3)

I saw the idea for this card on Instagram. I decided to make it myself, with my own twist and style. I used the Cat-Itude stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started on the scene. I took a piece of watercolor cardstock. With an ink blending tool I applied Weatherd Wood and Tattered Rose to it, with a very light hand. I used the Small Brick Wall stencil from My Favorite Things. I mixed Fired Brick Distress Ink with some Texture Paste from Ranger and applied it to the panel, over the stencil with a palet knife. This way I created a brick wall for my cats to sit on.

For the night sky I took another piece of watercolor cardstock. I masked a circle off. I wanted this to stay white, so it can be the moon. I applied Chipped Sapphire to the cardstock with e blending tool. I then added some Black Soot Distress Ink as well, to darken it all up a bit. I then removed the mask. I added some gold dots to the sky, with a gel pen.

I stamped three of the cats and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Left cat: W5 – W7/ W0
Collar: Y00 – Y11
Middle cat: E41 – E43/ E25 – E29
Collar: YR61 – YR02
Right cat: C0 – C2/ C5
Collar: R22 – R35

I die cut the images and starting assembling the card. I adhered the brick wall to the sky, with foam tape. I did the same with the cats. Then I stamped the sentiment in Nightshift Blue Ink from My Favorite Things. I trimmed it down to a small strip and adhered it with foam tape to the card. The panel I adhered flat to a red cardbase.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WISHING YOU A TREAT-FILLED DAY (1)

I created a birthday pop-up card, using the Happy Howloween stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I die cut all the elements for my pop-up. I used the Stitched Hillside Pop-Ups for the pop-up element. I also die cut the tree border, with the Stitched Tree Borders. I took a green cardbase and adhered a blue panel onto the top part of it. Then I adhered the tree border and the pop-up element.

I went over to the images. I stamped the three dogs and some accessories. I colored all the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Dogs: E25 – E29
Bones: E41
Wings: BG000
Skirts + hats: V04 – V06/ RV21 – RV23
Wand: BG000/ Y11 – Y02
Crown: Y11 – Y02
Present: RV10 – RV23

I fussy cut all the images, which was a lot of work, and adhered them all to the scene. I added some glitter to the accessories with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. Then I stamped the sentiment. The top part is from Year Two, the bottom from happy Howloween.

I made this card for Vayèn, my best friend’s daughter, who is turning two in December. I stamped her name on the outside of the card, but I’m not showing that yet…

SENDING WARM WISHES FOR A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON (2)

I used the Hot Cocoa Cups dies from My Favorite Things, to create this fun and simple Christmas card.

I die cut the cups, the heart (twice) and the whipped cream (twice). I choose a soft red and an aqua color for the mugs and hearts. I adhered all the elements together. For the whipped cream, I added some white Neon Amplify from Tsukineko. When you hit it with a heat tool, it puffs up and it looks like actual whipped cream. It’s also great to use to create snow.

I added the mugs with foam tape to a piece of patter paper, from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas collection from Lawn Fawn. I added a strip of the same red and aqua cardstock to either side of the pattern paper. I adhered it to a white cardbase.

The sentiment is from the Merry Messages stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I used two Lawn Fawn inks: Merman Ink and Wild Rose Ink.

As a finishing touch, I added some glitter to the hearts with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and then added Glossy Accents on top of that.

For the Lawnscaping Challenge the task was to keep it clean and simple. So I used the So Smooth stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

Orange juice: YR04 – YR07/ W0 – W2
Ice cubes: BG000
Bag of frozen berries: BV13 – BV17/ Y15 – Y17
Strawberries: R35 – R29/ G05 – G28
Blender: BV13 – BV17/ R29 – R35/ W0 – W2
Blender glass: BG000

Spoon: BV13 – BV17

I fussy cut the images and adhered them all with foam tape on a white card panel. I added some chading to the card, with a W0 and W2 Copic Marker. I stamped the sentiment in Carrot Ink from Lawn Fawn. I rounded of the top right and bottom left corner, with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. I adhered the panel with foam tape onto a piece of pattern paper, from the Beach Side paper collection from Lawn Fawn. Here I also rounded of the top right and bottom left corner.

As a finishing touch, I added some glitter to the blender, glass and ice cubes, with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

A clean and simple card, but a lot of coloring involved!

Please check out the Lawnscaping Challenge.

CHRISTMAS SHAKER ORNAMENTS (1)

I wanted to create some Christmas shaker ornaments today, using the Toboggan Together stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting circle frames. I used the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I used two different circles and taped them together so they stay in position. I die cut six circle frames for one ornament. I’m going to stack them to create a shaker ornament. I kept the insides, they can work as the background inside the shaker ornaments. I also die cut four little hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the four critters from the Toboggan Together stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Penguins: W5 – W7/ C0
Beek + feet: Y38
Reindeer: E25 – E29/ E41 – E43
Ears: RV11

I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies. I started assembling the ornaments. I took a white circle, to function as the base of my ornaments. I adhered a piece of twine onto it and formed a loop. This way the ornament can really hang. I adhered five of the six circle frames on top of each other. I also adhered the inside pieces, the sky and hill. I adhered the stamped image. I glued a piece of acetate onto the sixth circle frame. I added some sequins to the shaker, from Pretty Pink Posh, and adhered the circle with acetate to the shaker ornament.

I now have four different shaker ornaments, to hang from your Christmas tree. I’m going to give them away, to some friends.
