For this summer themed card, I used the Palm Trees die set from Lawn Fawn.
I started by die cutting a circle, with the Small Stitched Circle Stackables. I then embossed clouds into it, with the Stitched Cloudy Backdrops: Landscape. I die cut a hill, and all the elements from the Palm Trees die set. I used Distress Inks to add color to them. Here are the colors I used:
Sky: Mermaid Lagoon
Sand: Scattered Straw + Brushed Corduroy
Tree trunks: Vintage Photo
Leaves: Crushed Olive
Coconuts: Walnut Stain
Crab: Candied Apple
I adhered all the elements together and went over to the background. I kept it fairly simple. I took a large brush and did some simple brush strokes from left to right, using Candied Apple Distress Ink as watercolor. I set it aside to dry. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, from the set Aloha, with white embossing powder from Ranger.
I added the circle onto the background and then onto a Chili Pepper cardbase.
I just love these summer scenes.

HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY IS UNFORGETTABLE (4)
I created this birthday card with the Mama Elephant stamp set The Cat's Meow.
I started by die cutting a rectangle, with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. I also used the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables, to die cut two square windows.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, with white embossing powder from Ranger. The sentiment is from Ella & Friends, also from Mama Elephant. I then blended some Distress Inks onto the paper. I used Squeezed Lemonade and a little bit of Ripe Persimmon towards the top. For the background, that will go behind the windows, I used Ripe Persimmon again.
I set the panel aside and went over to my stamping. I stamped the big cat stamp and also two of the seperate cats. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors i used:
Cat's main colors: W0 - W2/ E57 - E29/ E00 - E11/ E32 - E33/ W5 - W7
Ears + noses: E04
Accessories: YR00 - YR02/ Y02 - Y06/ YR16 - YR07/ R22 - R35
I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a white cardbase.
When I first used this stamp set, I thought I wouldn't come up with something completely different. But I did and it looks amazing!

WAVING HELLO (5)
I combined a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamp sets for this underwater scene. I used Fintastic Friends, Mermaid For You, Bicycle Built For You and Octopi My Heart.
I started by stamping all the images I wanted to use. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Narwhal: C0 - C2 - C3/ C3 - C5
Big striped fish: V01 - V12/ Y11 - Y02
Yellow fish: Y11 - Y02 - Y06 - Y15
Small striped fish: Y06 - Y15/ YG41 - G02
Blue/ green fish: YG41 - G02
Star fish + balloons: R22 - R35/ YG41 - G02/ Y00 - Y11 - Y02 Octopus: V01 - V12
I fussy cut and die cut the images and went over to my background. I wanted to used lighter colors for the background. I used two Distress Inks: Spun SIgar and Thumbled Glass. For the top and bottom of the card, I wanted to add some extra interest. I die cut a Stitched Scalloped Border twice and adhered it to the panel.
I assembled the rest of the images onto the panel and stamped the sentiment. I added the panel onto a Mermaid cardbase. I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops, in the color white, onto the card. And some white dots with a gelpen to the octopus, narwhal and starfish.
I'm really happy with how this turned out.

BEST WISHES (2)
For this birthday card, I used the Mermaid For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I also entered this card into the new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge where we got a color inspiration board to work with.
I started by die cutting a square from a piece of white cardstock. This is going to function as a window on my panel. Behind this window I wanted a sky and ocean to appear. I die cut two hills to look like waves, with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I applied Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink onto both of the waves. For the sky I used Thumbled Glass. I wanted to add clouds to the sky, so I embossed this piece of paper with the Stitched Cloudy Backdrop: Landscape.
I stamped one of the mermaids and the rock. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Hair: Y15 - Y17 - Y38
Skin: E00 - E11
Top: G14 - G05 - G17
Tail: R22 - R35
Rock: C3 - C5
For the sentiment, I used a stamps from the Whale Wishes set by Mama Elephant. I just love these big greetings. I stamped the greeting in two Lawn Fawn inks: Sunflower Ink and Wild Rose Ink.
I assembled the card and added it to a Mermaid cardbase. I rounded off the bottom right corner as a finishing touch.
I was done with this card within 15 minutes or so. Clean and simple.
Please make sure you check the challenge!

ALOHA (1)
The one thing I wanted to do when I got the Aloha stamp set from Lawn Fawn, was heat embossing and watercoloring a background. So that's what I did.
I started by stamping the pineapple repeatedly onto watercolor cardstock and heat embossing it with white embossing powder from Ranger. I then watercolored the pineapples with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are the colors I used:
072 - Beige
050 - Yellow
043 - Olive Green
I didn't want to color the white space inbetween, but it did need something. So I took Soot Distress Ink and smooshed something onto an acrylic block. I added water and splattered it onto the panel.
I set the background aside and went over to the rest. I stamp the pineapple one more time, this time with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I also added the smiley face and sunglasses to the pineapple this time. I used the same Zig Markers for this one. I fussy cut the image.
I trimmed a strip of Sunflower cardstock and a strip a vellum, which is slighty smaller then the yellow strip. I stamped the sentiment onto the vellum and heat embossed it using the Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder from Wow.
I added everything together and adhered the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase. I rounded off the two bottom corners as a finishing touch.
I just adore this pineapple stamp!

CARD SET: SEASIDE SEAGULLS (1)
I decided to make three cards with one set again. This time I choose the Seaside Seagulls stamp set from My Favorite Things.
For the first card (bottom left card) I started by using the Cloud stencil from MFT. I didn't create clouds, I made waves with them. I used four different Distress Ink colors. From top to bottom I used: Thumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire. Above the waves, I wanted to create rays of sunlight. I used the Radiating Rays stencil from MFT and applied Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink onto the paper.
I colored te seagulls (I used the same colors on all cards) and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Seagulls: C0 - C2
Beaks: Y15 - Y17
Pole: E57 - E29
I fussy cut the images. I wanted to create some wave slots, to put the seagulls in. I used the Ocean Wave Accents from Lawn Fawn. I added the seagulls onto the card. I heat embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder from Ranger, onto a piece of Blue Jay cardstock. I adhered the panel onto a Mermaid cardbase.
For card two (bottom right card) is used the Herringbone Brick stencil from MFT. I applied Thumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Ink onto the paper. I then die cut three squares, with the Ouside In Stitched Square Stackables from Lawn Fawn. For the background, the part you can see through the squares, I applied Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to the paper.
I colored the seagulls and fussy cut them. I added everything together and heat embossed the sentiment. I added the panel onto a Blue Jay cardbase.
For the final card (top card) I kept it really simple. I took a piece of watercolor cardstock and die cut a square with the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables. For the inside part, I took the Cloud stencil again and applied two Distress Inks onto it. I used Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire, again to make waves. I left the sky white. For the outside part, I only used Squeezed Lemonade and made it darker on the bottom and lighter towards the top.
I die cut another wave, with the Ocean Wave Accents. I colored the image and fussy cut it. I assembled the card and added the heat embossed sentiment. I added the panel onto a Blue Jay cardbase. And done are all three my cards.
I made three very different cards, but kept the same color pallette and theme. I'm so in love with these stamps, really easy to create pretty cards with.

YOU ROCKED IT! (2)
I wanted to create a card for a friend who is about to get her driver's licence. So I used the Home For the Holidays stamps et, from Lawn Fawn.
I started by die cutting a rectangle for the background, with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. And two hilss with the Stitched Hillside Borders. For the sky I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to blend. I then took the Radiating Rays stencil from My Favorite THings and applied Ripe Persimmon Distress on top. For the hills I used Crushed Olive Distress Ink.
I stamped the sentiment on the front hill, which is from the Strike Up the Band stamp set by MFT. I stamped the little car image and colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Car: R14 - R46 - R59/ W0/ W5 - W7/ Y38/ B00
I fussy cut the image and assembled the card. I added the panel onto a Chili Pepper cardbase. I added some glitter to the car, with the Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir.
I hope she passes, I think she will!

THANKS (5)
I created this thank you card with The Cat's Meow stamp set from Mama Elephant.
It's a very big stamp, so a tool like the MISTI is perfect for this. It wasn't easy to stamp it though. I colored the entire stamp with Copci Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Cats: W0 - W2/ E57 - E29/ E41 - E43/ W5 - W7/ E31 - E33
Accessories: R22 - R35/ Y11 - Y02
I stamped the sentiment, which is from Whale Wishes by Mama Elephant. FOr the top of the card, I used some Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I went really soft, because this isn't watercolor paper and it does not blend that well.
I added the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase. I found that the card needed a little but more. I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Dandelion Yellow. I also rounded off the two top corners.
I just love this large stamp, can't wait to use it again.

CRAFTY HAUL (14)
For June and July I got myself a bunch of new craft supplies, from a few different companies. Here is what I got.
When I saw The Cat's Meow stamp set, from Mama Elephant, I just had to have it. It's a large stamp, with a group of cats. All different characters, it looks so great. And you don't need to be a cat lover at all. This isn't like any other stamp set I have seen.
I love the Lawn Fawn Inks. In fact, they are the only colored inks I use. I tried the MFT inks as well, but they just didn't gave the finish that the Lawn Fawn Inks have. So to add to my collection I got Peacock Ink and Celery Stick Ink. I was in the need of another blue and green shade.
The Seaside Seagull stamp from My Favorite Things is super cute. I saw so many great projects already with this stamp set. And that one sentiment, with the "mine mine mine", is just fantastic.
The Color Drops stamp set from My Favorite Things is something completely different from what I normally buy and use. But I saw such great cards and I have so many ideas for this set, that I couldn't resist. I just can't wait to use these drops in multicolors.
The Palm Trees set was in my shopping cart the last time, but I had to eliminate some stuff because else I would be poor now. So I waited a while to get this. It's a great set to accompany the Ahoy, Matey set, also from Lawn Fawn. But also as a stand alone die set. I already made one card with this set and it's a joy to work with!
The mini sets from Lawn Fawn are such a great price point and there is so much you can do with them. The Aloha stamp set is this cute pineapple, that I already have a ton of ideas for. Like a white heat embossed background, where I watercolor the pineapples. So be on the lookout for that!
The Radiating Rays stencil from My Favorite Things was sold out everywhere, all the time. I finally got my hands on it. It's such a great stencil. I saw Nichol Spohr use it a couple of times in her YouTube tutorials and I fell in love with this stencil. It adds so much to a card.
I have stitched circles and rectangles, so it was time to add some squares. I got the Inside Out Stitched Square Stackables from Lawn Fawn. And it's a bit different than the others, because it creates a stitched edge on the insed and the outside of the die cut. Amazing!
Sometimes I buy craft supplies from other crafters, who don't use them anymore. I found this Mama Elephant stamp set online, the Whale Wishes set. Killer whales are my favorite animals and I couldn't find this set anywhere. So I was Lucky to find this add online and I got this set with the dies. And besides those great whale images, I love those big words as well. I'm going to use thoses a lot!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (23)
For this birthday card, I used the Up In the Air stamp set from My Favorite Things.
I started by stamping the hot air ballons several times onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. I heat embossed the images with White Embossing Powder from Ranger. I then watercolor the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here are all the colors I used on the card:
032 - Persian Blue
052 - Bright Yellow
072 - Beige
081 - Light Violet
045 - Pale Green
031 - Cobalt Blue
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with that same embossing powder, onto a piece of Black Licorice cardstock from Lawn Fawn. I trimmed the strip and adhered it onto the panel (that I BTW die cut with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from MFT.
I added the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase and applied some Nuvo Crystal Drops onto the card, in the colors Dandelion Yellow and Apple Green.
I really love watercoloring with these markers, especially with heat embossed images.

WAVING HELLO (4)
For this card I used only dies to create a scene. I used the new Palm Trees die set from Lawn Fawn to create this beach scene. I also entered this card into the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge .
I started by die cutting all the elements. Besides the Palm Trees set, I also used the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, Stitched Hillside Borders, Sun and Moon dies and the Slide On Over dies.
I used Distress Inks to color all the elements. Here are the colors I used:
Sky: Thumbled Glass
Waves: Mermaid Lagoon
Beach: Brushed Corduroy
Sun: Mustard Seed + Wild Honey
Crab: Fired Brick
Palm trees: Vintage Photo + Crished Olive + Mowed Lawn
Coconuts: Walnut Stain
I wanted to create a slider card, where the sun appears behind the waves. I die cut a slider track with the Slide On Over dies and started assembling the card. I doubled up the foam tape, so the sun has plenty of room to slide. I stamped the sentiment, from mermaid For You, onto the sun in Doe Ink. I added the panel onto a Sunflower cardsbase.
This card was a lot of work, but it was worth it. I love the look of this scene. PLease make sure you check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge for more inspiration.
