A new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and my favorite theme so far: Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song. So I can finally combine my two biggest passions: crafting and movies. I came up with an idea for one of my favorite movies, "La La Land".
For the background I wanted to start with the sentiment. I used Violet's Abc's and created my own sentiment. "To the Fools Who Dream" is a line from the film, that I absolutely love.
For the sky, I wanted to created that blueish purple sky that is known from that fantastic dance scene between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling and that is also on the movie poster. I used three Distress Ink colors for the sky: Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac.
I trimmed a rectangle for the ground and embossed a stitched line, with the Stitched Borders. I ink blended this piece with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
I die cut the Village Border from Black Licorice cardstock and the lights from Sunflower cardstock.
I stamped the images. I used several stamp sets; Bicycle Built For You, Mermaid For You and Here We Go a-Waddling. I colored all the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Mia: E08 - E18/ E000 - E11/ W5 - W7/ Y11 - Y08
Sebastian: E000 - E11/ W5 - W7/ C0 - C3 - 0/ E53 - E55
Rock: E53 - E55
Light: Y11 - Y08
I die cut or fussy cut the images and assembled my card. I added the panel to a Vanilla Malt cardbase.
Make sure you check out the challenge on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog and see all our creations. And with some inspiration from you favorite movies, songs or book maybe you can join us with you projects!

HAPPY EASTER (13)
I created an Easter card with all die cuts. I used the Mini Easter Eggs die set from Lawn Fawn.
For the background, I took a piece of Spiffy Speckles paper, the one with the purple speckles on it.
I took the four egg dies, only the outlines, not the solid egg. I due cut all eggs from five different Lawn Fawn cardstocks. I used Guava cardstock, Sticky Note cardstock, Sugarplum cardstock, Ballet Slippers cardstock and Mermaid cardstock.
For the sentiment, I took the Scripty Happy die and die cut it from watercolor cardstock. Ink blended the bottom half with Shaded Lilac Oxide Ink and Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I layered this die cut on another one, that I die cut from Narwhal cardstock. I shifted it a bit, so it looks like a shadow.
The rest of the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed onto Narwhal cardstock, using white embossing powder from Ranger. I added both pieces of the sentiment onto the panel
I adhered the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.
Although cards with only die cuts are pretty time consuming, they are totally worth your time!

HOPE YOUR DAY GLOWS WITH HAPPINESS (2)
For this night scene card, I used several Lawn Fawn stamp sets: Little Fireflies, Toadally Awesome and Upon a Star.
I decided to work directly on the cardbase. I cut a cardbase from Peacock cardstock and ink blended the top with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. I die cut grass, with the Simple Grassy Hillsides, from Cilantro cardstock. I ink blended the tops with Lucky Clover.
I stamped the sentiment onto the smallest grassy hill.
I stamped the images from the different sets and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Foxes: E33 - E35/ E00 - E11
Frogs: YG11 - YG13/ YR21 - Y38
Fireflies: YR21 - Y38/ B00 - B12/ V04 - V12
Log: E31 - E33 - E35
Cat tails: E71 - E74/ YG61 - YG67
I fussy cut all the images and assembled the card.
I like the look of ink blended colored cardstock. I don't do that very often. But for creating a night sky, it's the perfect technique.
