The new Lawn Fawn release is here. Their Fall/ Winter release is to die for. I picked up some new stamps and dies from this release, stuck mostly to the fall and Halloween themed products. Because there is still time eought to purchase winter and Christmas stuff. Here are the things I got:
The Winter Village really caught my eye. It's a great scene building set, to create a town in the background of your card. But it will also work perfectly on its own.
This For You, Deer stamp set is super adorable. I got the dies as well, but it also comes with tag dies. I will probably get them next time. This deer and bear image will be perfect for peek-a-boo cards, tags, bookmarks. I can't wait to use them.
The mini set, Sealed With a Kiss, came out before but wasn't for sale. You got it with your purchase at Lawnfawn.com. Since I Always order from Dutch websites, I didn't get my hands on it. So I was super happy to see it in this release. I just love those cute seals.
My favorite of this release is Costume Party. Aren't these kids dressed up as all these different Halloween characters just too cute? I love the kid that is dressed as a pumpkin, but the dragon is my favorite. And it's not just for Halloween cards, it will be perfect for a kids birthday as well.
The Village Border die is so awesome. Perfect for Halloween, but I think you can use it all year round.
The Forest Feast stamp set is a great addition to some other fall themed sets I have, like Jump for Joy. Off course those critters are sweet, but I love all the little elements to create the scene with. But what about that tree stump? So cool.
Lawn Fawn's papers are Always great. There are three new paper packs out and I couldn't choose. So I got all of them, only the small paper pads though. From left to right we've got: Perfectly Plaid Chill, Knock On Wood, Knit Picky. The plaid papers are Always awesome, I love plaid patterns and these color combinations are amazing. The Knock On Wood paper has this beautiful woograin pattern in many fall themed colors. And the Knit Picky paper looks like it's been knitted. Really cool for Christmas cards.
Can't wait to start crafting with these goodies! Happy crafting everyone!

WISHING YOU A HARVEST OF BLESSINGS (3)
Time to use my favorite Lawn Fawn set again: Happy Harvest.
For the background, I wanted to create a brick wall. I used the Small Brick Wall Stencil from My Favorite Things. I first blended some Fired Brick Distress Ink without the stencil, with a very light hand. Then I added the stencil and applied more Fired Brick overtop. For the edges I added some Aged Mahogany to darken it up a bit and give it little bit more dimension.
I took the Classic Window die from My Favorite Things and die cut it out of the stenciled background. From white cardstock I die cut the window frame. I added this frame to the card and also stamped the sentiment, from Harvest Mouse by MFT.
I die cut a grass border, with the Meadow Borders die and blended Crushed Olive Distress Ink onto it. I adhered it to the panel. I also die cut the curtains, from Perfectly Plaid Fall paper, and added them to the back of the window.
I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Face scarecrow: E00 - E21 - E11
Pants: B93 - B95
Shirt: Y38 - YR68
Hat: E31 - E33/ Y38 - YR68
Stake: E31 - E33
Straws: E57 - E29
Crows: W3 - W5 - W7/ Y38
Pumpkins: YR16 - YR68 - YR07/ BG93 - BG96
Cart: C0 - C3 - C5
I fussy cut the images, adhered everything together and added the panel onto a Sticky Note cardbase.
I never seem to create bad cards with this set. And that;s why it's my favorite!

HAPPY HAUNTING (1)
I used the Booyah stamp set again, from Lawn Fawn, to create this spooky Halloween card.
I started by creating the background and scene. I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock with the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I also die cut two tree borders, with the Stitched Tree Borders. I used Distress Inks. For the sky I used Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon. For the tree borders I used Black Soot, simply because I didn't have any black cardstock anymore.
I stamped the three ghosts and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Ghosts: C0 - C2
I fussy cut them. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder from Ranger. I assembled the card and added the panel onto a piece of Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper. I then added it to a Noble Fir carbase.
Really simple, but perfect for Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (4)
Half way into August, I think it's okay to make Halloween cards. So here is the first of the year. I used the Booyah stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
I started by lating out my design and stamping the ghost shapes and the banner. I'm going to add the faces later. I stamped the word Halloween into the banner. All the accessories I stamped on a seperate piece of cardstock. I colored all the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Ghosts: C0 - C3
Banner: Y38 - YR04 - YR07
Accessories: W5 - W7/ W0 - W2/ V17 - V09/ YR16 - YR07/ G07 - G28/ E33 - E31
I fussy cut all the accessories. I also die cut the word happy with the Scripty Happy. Twice from Narwhal cardstock and once from Black Licorice cardstock. I layered them to give it a little dimension. I adhered all the elements onto the panel and added the panel onto a Narwhal cardbase.
To finish it off, I added glitter to the word happy, with the Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir. I also rounded off the bottom corners.
What do you think of my first 2017 Halloween card?

For this thank you card I used the Hang in There stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I entered the card into the Lawn Fawnatics challenge, where the theme was 'custom sentiments'.
I started on the background. I used two Distress Ink and used a wide paint brush to add strokes of those colors to the paper. I used Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon. I also added some splatter of both colors to the background. I set it aside to dry.
I stamped the sloth images and added a couple of leaves. I colored it with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Branch: E5 - E29
Sloth: E31 - E33/ W3 - W5
Leaves: BG93 - BG96
I fussy cut the images and added it to my background. I stamped the sentiment. I used Violet's Abc's and a sentiment from Love Letters. I added the panel onto a piece of Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper. Then added a white cardbase.
Fairly simple, love the sentiment.

A WHALE OF THANKS (1)
For this thank you card, I used the Whale Wishes stamp set from Mama Elephant.
I started by stenciling the Radiating Rays onto the paper, with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress ink. I then heat embossed on piece of the sentiment onto the card, with Silver embossing powder from Ranger. The other half of the sentiment I stamped in Hippo Ink.
I stamped the whales and die cut them with my Cuttlebug. I embossed a border, with the Stitched Borders from Lawn Fawn. I added the whales and adhered the panel onto a Peacock cardbase.
I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops, in the color Emerald City, making them look like splashes of water.
Wasn’t sure about the design, but it looks okay.

SENDING HUGS (1)
I created this simple encouragement card with the Color Drops stamp set from My Favorite Things.
I choose three Lawn Fawn Inks to stamp my pattern with. I used Lobster Ink, Sunflower Ink and Manatee Ink. I randomly stamped the different sized drops onto the paper.
I die cut the word hugs, that is from the Words For Friends die set by MFT. I added a piece of Black Licorice cardstock on the back, so you can see it through the letters.
I added the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the card, in the color Dandelion Yellow. I rounded off the bottom right corner.
Really simple, but lovely. This set is so versatile.

For this simple love card, I combined the So Smooth stamp set with the Aloha mini set, both from Lawn Fawn.

SMILE, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY (2)
For this birthday card I kept it really simple. I used the Color Drops stamp set and the Words For Friends dies, both from My Favorite Things.
I took one of the drops and stamped a pattern from left to right. I used three Lawn Fawn ink colors: Peachy Keen, Peacock and Celery Stick. I then took a smaller drop stamp and one of the dots to finish my pattern with the same colors.
I took some Mermaid cardstock and die cut the word Smile twice. I stacked them and adhered them to the panel. I stamped the rest of the sentiment (which is from Jump For Joy, by Lawn Fawn) onto a strip of Mermaid cardstock and adhered it underneath the Smile.
I added the panel onto a Cilantor cardbase. As a finishing touch I added some glitter to the word Smile, with the Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir. I also rounded off the top right and bottom left corner.
There are so many patterns you can create with this stamp set and so many color pallettes to choose from. I'm going to make a card set with this set too.

HEY, GULLFRIEND! (1)
For this friendship card I used the Seaside Seagulls stamp set from My Favorite Things.
I started by die cutting six squares from a piece of white cardstock, using the Outside In Stitched Square Stackables from Lawn Fawn. For the background, the piece that is going to show through the six windows, I used a piece of watercolor cardstock and blended Distress Inks onto that paper. I used three colors: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber.
I stamped all the seagull images and colored them with Copic Markers. They are really simple to color. Here are the colors I used:
Seagulls: W0 - W2
Beaks: Y38 - YR04
Pole: E57 - E29
I fussy cut the images and assembled the card. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto Black Licorice cardstock, with White embossing powder from Ranger. I trimmed it to a thin strip and added it to the card. I adhered the panel onto a Sunflower cardbase.
I love those multiple window dies, so since I don't have on I created one myself. I really like how it turned out.
