I'M LUCKY TO HAVE A FRIEND LIKE YOU (2)

Today is the start of a fun, new theme at the Lawn Fawnatics Blog : Lots of Hearts. I used the Little Envelope Die and the Tiny Gift Box Elephant Add-On die.

For the background I die cut a piece of Speckled Eggshell cardstock with the new Postage Rectangle Stackables dies. I used the coordinating stencil to mask off the outer lines. I ink blended the Candy Hearts Stencils onto it. I used a bunch of Distress Oxide Inks: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac and Festive Berries.

I then die the elephant from Narwhal cardstock and added the inside of his ears with Ballet Slippers. The Envelope and letter were both die cut from Speckled Eggshell and the heart from Raspberry cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment and typed heart onto the letter, using the Love Poems and You're Just My Type stamp sets. I used Lawn Fawn inks for this: Merman, Grape Soda and Bubblegum inks.

I assembled everything and added it all to the stenciled background. I used Raspberry cardstock for the cardbase and added highlights to the images.

Soil: E31 - E35 - E57
Plants: G14 - G05 - G17
Hearts: RV32 - RV34
Shovel: C0 - C3 - C5/ E57 - E29

I die cut the images. Stamped sentiments onto the hearts. And also stamped a sentiment on a strip of Ballet Slippers cardstock. I used Lobster + Wild Rose Ink, to create an ombre effect.

I assembled the card and used a white gel pen to add highlights and dots to the images.

BOOK MARK (10)

I created this spooky book mark, using the Stitched Bookmark die set, Build-a-Fox die set, Build-a-Critter Costumes die set and the Book Collection die set. All from Lawn Fawn

I started by die cutting the book mark from Hyacinth cardstock. I wanted to ink blend with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink, by using the Autumn Breeze Stencil.

I die cut the fox elements. I actually wanted to turn it into a wolf, so I used darker Lawn Fawn cardstocks: Storm Cloud, Narwhal, Black Licorice and Ballet Slippers.

I also die cut the Book Collection dies using Lawn Fawn cardstocks: Vanilla Malt, Sugarplum, No. 2 Pendcil and Fake Tan.

For the with hat I used Sugarplum, Black Licorice and No. 2 Pencil cardstock. I also used Sugarplum for the cape. For the broom I used Paperbag and Ground Coffee cardstocks.

I assembled the books, the fox and the broom and added them to the book mark. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and dots. As a finishing touch I added little eyelets in Fake Tan cardstock to the top of the book mark and some purple twine.

I will give this to my brother, a fellow bookworm who loves scary books.
